Posted by stephanief see that is the kicker. Most of the times when someone posts these "drama inciting" emoticons, it gets misinterpreted. You man mean in a tongue in cheek way, but not everyone does, I am sure
true. I would however, love ot meet the person that thinks isn't at least a little funny. Or wait- I would not like to meet that person.

After the baby is born, of course.

We do not debate well. It usually turns into a fight.

IMO, until the personal attacks come out, its a debate. But I think a lot of people consider any heated discussion drama.
I see drama in two ways - one, is when someone posts a topic intentionally to get a rise out of people, and to "stir" the pot, without any intention to spark an intellectual debate.
Two, is when there IS an interesting topic posted, that people are debating, respectfully, but someone begins with direct, personal attacks, and immaturity. That's when a debate takes a turn for drama.
That's my assessment

IMO, add a few and bingo...DRAMA. Also certain people I think do it just to do it.

Re: What makes a thread drama vs a debate?
I think it depends on who the posters are and how people feel about them

I do think it is funny, sometimes but it is no different, to me, than a or a or a KWIM
