You definitely have the right to feel however you want...I'm sorry you feel so hurt by this.
I have to say though, that I've done exactly what your DH has done when my sister comes up from GA. I don't think it's terrible to want to spend time alone with your sister/brother...especially if everyone else is included during the rest of the visit. Jmo.

i don't think you're over reacting; not at all. if i was in your shoes i would feel the same way (all i'm good for is making a home cooked meal and cleaning up after y'all??) NOT!!!! i would definitely address it bring it to the table how you feel and why you're not included on the nights out. Speak your mind! hey they may get upset, there may be arguments but at least you told them how you felt and maybe they'll realize the great hospitalty their getting from you and you deserve to have fuin with them as well. they are your guests at your house, don't tolerate it even if they are in-laws or just friends! Respect!

I just feel like the only time I am included is when there is a meal to be prepared.
When Dh's sister got married and we were all in St. John's for the wedding everyone made plans to do this hike...not one person out of 15 people ever stopped to consider that I couldn't do this hike because I was 5 months pregnant at the time. When I pointed out that I couldn't go...they asked me if I would mind cooking dinner so that it would be ready when they got back from the hike.

Oh, that's just inconsiderate. I'm sorry...I can definitely see where you're coming from and you definitely have a right to feel the way you do.

Yes I'd be hurt and angry about it but I think you need to let DH make it up to you. I wouldn't cook for them either (if I knew how to cook that is)...

he thinks that I have ruined his weekend by complaining to him....and that I need to go to therapy if something like this hurts my feelings. He said that I shouldn't have said anything because now the weekend is ruined for him.
I feel like I married a Cave Man!!!!!!
I hate that he is turning this all on me....I'm wrong and made his whole weekend S*ck. Right now I want nothing to do with him...He is acting like a PIG.

He said that it is "his sister". I would have said - That's right - then hubby YOU do all the cooking and cleaning for YOUR sister.
