What do you think of the name.....
Remy for a boy? Me and DH both love it but I have gotten some weird reactions from people

I like it!! And other peoples reactions is why we refuse to tell people our name choices.

I've actually only known it as a girl's name. I have a (girl) cousin named Remi, and there's a female doctor on "House" named Remy.

me too, the woman across the street from my parents house growing up is named Remi.

I like that name. I have always thought of it as a girls name because I only know one person with the name and shes a girl. I'm sure if I knew only a guy with the name I would look at it as a boys name.

My friend just named her some remy :).... This is why we didn't tell people our name choice for a while i told people at first all happy and got such mean responses ( even from fam) just started telling people fake weird names like pear, petunia and things like that.
It's your baby no one elses who cares what others think.

In all seriousness though, I really like the name Remy for a boy. It sounds very regal to me.

Sorry I am not a fan. It reminds me too much of the liquor Remi Martin; that and to me the Remi's that I have heard of are girls. (Just being honest, sorry).

I think its ADORABLE! Really! if DH was more into the off beat names so to speak I would consider it!!
I hated seeing peoples reaction to my name! Its so rude IMO. My BIL said he was going to call him by his middle name and that was it (I laughed at him) and my other said he was probably going to get beat up in school. Lovely I know. Ugh some people 
and I don't mind the simply its not for me, but the added insults I can do without.

Well, in this case she specifically asked what we thought of it. That to me means she wants both sides, not just the rainbows and ice cream version
But, I agree, if a person isn't asking for your opinion it's probably best to refrain from sharing since folks can get sensitive about it.

I was trying to say when people add things like hes going to get his as$ kicked in school for that name, thats what I meant by hearing/seeing peoples reactions. I understand she directly asked, its just the added comments. I wasn't trying to give her a sugar coated answer, I was simply saying thats waht happened to me with my name is all
