What are you working on?

Just curious what project everyone is currently working on in their home? We are finishing the painting and moulding in the basement! WOOHOO
Then onto painting our closets so I can finally unpack my clothes.

Right now I am dreaming of finishing the basement, but since that is going to be a major project (we will need to replace our oil burner and maybe even change our entire heating system) I am going to stick to little things like replacing the remaining electrical fixtures, and finding pictures and painting and such to put on the walls. Oh, and finally buy the wall mount to attach the tv to the wall!

Next up: new gates for the front yard

Over the winter: working on finishing the basement & possibly adding a 1/2 bath down there.

Next Spring: redoing the deck in the backyard and either expanding it or adding a patio to the side.

ETA: I almost forgot... we have to DECORATE our dining room! Still nothing in or on the buffet, nothing on the walls, and no rug

I am typing this to the sounds of a builder ripping apart my horrid old kitchen! By the end of the week I should have a fantastic new modern shaker style kichen!! With all integrated appliances! Hooray!!

Right now we are in the process of having our driveway bricked & also having lightposts & a garden wall put in. They should be done this week, I will update when I have pictures!

Decorating for Halloween

Cleaning Garage, and Loading up the new shed with stuff from the storage(Guest) bedroom upstairs.

After the room is empty, We have to put the bed together, and get the guest bedroom set up

Wood or Faux wood blinds for the house

PVC Fence in a few weeks

Over the winter or during the spring
In ground Sprinklers
Build closet in the kitchen and put washer dryer in there
Custom Moulding for around front door on exterior of house
Finish putting bricks on edge of driveway
Finish outside light hook up...

KITCHEN!!! WE start the rip out in a couple weeks. So we are busy planning, packing it up and buying appliances and accessories. We also want to get our main bath renovated (new vanity, stoarge, tile and paint) and fix our brick work out front all by year end.

we are getting all of our interior doors replaced as well as the window inthe bathroom. Then in Jan we are going to do an uplift to the bathroom. Replacing the vanity, lights and mirror, painting

Currently, it's all about the study. Removing wallpaper glue is 99% done. Next up is spackling, sanding, putting up moulding, priming and then painting. Then the fun stuff - furniture/accessory shopping

After that we're going to winterize our beds...maybe do some bulb planting.

Currently we are in the middle of unpacking but by this weekend we will start on the downstairs bathroom (new vanity, toilet and paint). After that we still have to get the upstairs bathroom finished and I want to redo the flooring. Either get it refinished or install new laminate flooring.

we have a little bit more work to be done in our kitchen, once that is finished we will start the work on the basement, we are redoing it (new sheetrock, paint, lighting,etc) and adding a bath.

our bathroom is 3/4 of the way torn out hopefully we'll make some headway over the next few weeks.

painting the bathroom in two weeks. DH is suppose to re-cork the sink & shower.

Carpeting the master BR and DH is beginning to buy supplies to finish the basement.

We are waiting on revised plans for our upstairs extension. We picked out tile and fixtures for two bathrooms at the weekend and I just ordered a claw-footed tub for one bathroom.

Once our construction starts it should take 3 months to add a bath, extend our bedroom, add a walk-in closet and gut and renovate the downstairs bathroom. We are also getting the house resided in concrete composite plank, a new roof, new windows downstairs, and 2 new entry doors.

All of this will be happening in the dead of Winter

right now we are replacing one roof on the dormered part of the house, as well as some various spots outside that have rotted due to water.

Monday we start construction on our guest bath, and when that is completed we start construction on our master bath.

Well, we finished putting up the wall and french doors between the living room and dining room, but we still have to put up the crown moldings, replace the fireplace mantel and build custom shelves to surround the fireplace (DH will be doing that!). HGTV will be helping us renovate our bathroom in a few weeks, but we have to get started on the other bathroom soon. And, though we've finished 90% of the kitchen, we have to pick a backsplash already and install it...

painting the master bath next and put in a shower door. we're saving to put up a fence; i think we'll be able to do it in Nov.

thinking about putting up new light fixtures outside and numbers and mailbox...

Baby's room - have to finish spackling and painting the closet. painting the molding, and refinishing the floors

Our room - dad is working on the closet now, just gotta paint the molding
