I've been using Palmers stretch mark cream since about 8 weeks. I'm now 38 weeks and have only gotten 2 small stretch marks, both appeared last week. They say that it's all genetics and no matter what cream you use, it won't make a difference, but doesn't hurt to try!

I have been using palmers too. But at 31 wks they all of a sudden appeared and my stomach is covered in them

I used Dream Cream from Lush. It's not specifically marketed for stretch marks but it is a great moisturizer and I felt that was most important.

I have been using palmers at least twice a day every day since I found out I was pregnant...and I have stretch marks all over. In the last two weeks or so they've been pretty prominent and red. I'm about 35 weeks.

for my first pregnancy, I used olive oil and mustela , didn't get any marks during pregnancy. (after my milk came in , I wasn't using anyhting and I did get marks under my boobs) but I think bc I used the stuff religiously , they faded w/ in a couple weeks and I don't even see them anymore!
this time I've been using olive oil, some mustela, and some of the cocoa butter that comes in the jar. I haven't gotten any yet at 27 wks.
My mom had horrid marks , and she only used coco butter. I think the olived oil helps

Bio Oil in the PM and Palmers in the AM. It worked first PG and so far this PG (I'm 27 weeks) but I better knock on some wood...

I used Palmers with both pregnancies and so far have not gotten a single stretch mark. I started as soon as my belly appeared.

I just use whatever body lotion I am using, my dermatologist said that its all genetics so I am not going crazy about it.

Hate to break it to you...but all the creams, oils, lotions and potions in the world won't prevent stretch marks. They are unfortunately hereditary! Either you'll get them or you won't...keeping all lubed up just keeps the skin nicely moisturized which is good since it's stretching a lot.

just quoting what all doctors and books/mags say...I believe them. My mom and sister had them bad, I have a few but I have another sister who did not get one at all. Saying they are hereditary does not necessarily mean that if your mom or sister got them you will 100% get them. I think it just means if you get them....don't beat yourself up. You didn't get them b/c you didn't use enough or the right kind of cream...you just were bound to get them b/c it's hereditary....IMO of course...as well as any doctor you will ask

I agree my moms stomach looks like a lion attacked it after 2 kids. I was anal with my lotions/oil 2x a day for both of my pregnancies and didn't get one mark....
I used this super cheap and thick....worked really well!

honestly, if you are going to get them, nothing will prevent them 
all of the creams, lotions, oils etc will keep you moisturized but nothing will totally prevent them
they are a mommy badge of honor and they DO fade !!
as for the genetics part  my mother is IDENTICAL TWIN sister didnt get them at all on their stomachs, i have them
