Great pics!
Funny how this thirst for diversity doesn't seem to carry over when people are shopping for school districts
I know your trying to be funny but actually for me it does, it is one of the reasons I want to continue living where I live bc I love the diversity of our school district.
I think she was speaking to those who choose districts that are NOT diverse. (One of the main reasons I moved to Queens.)
I live in Queens also, which I was told as a graduate student at St. Johns is the most diverse place in the world. (No idea to the validity of this statement but if not THE most diverse, certainly one of them )
It was when I was studying it in grad school 8 years back. Jackson heights, specifically.

Can I make a politically unrelated comment? Is that allowed? Because I just wanted to say I LOVE his wife's dress!!!
That is what I took away from these pictures too!
Why does everything always have to be so controversial all the time?

If you look at the people in the background the audience seems to be around 40 or 50% women......
So much for not adding to the controversy

So, where do I go to get UNBIASED facts about the candidates? (I've taken the quizzes...I still don't know who to vote for)
And therein lies the question.
Where.
I am a democrat, but am VERY conservative. I don't love the too left or too right.
Fox is very right and leans toward Romney. They are very conservative.
Everyone else, for the most part, is more liberal.
What I suggest is figure out whats important to you. 1. For me its social issues (abortion, women's rights, gay right.) 2, Its about job creation 3. How is the economy. 4. What does each candidate have to say about these issues. 5. Taxes- who is going to raise them? What can I ACTUALLY believe? 6. Healthcare- What is the good stuff AND bad stuff about Obamacare? I know the good, I know the bad. Or at least I THINK I do.
Then I read. I read Fox. I read moveon.org. I read MSNBC. I read the NYTimes online. I read articles. I tend to stay away from the Right wing stuff because they do not agree with me about their stance on women's issues. I read. I read articles. I look and see what my friends post on facebook.
I take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt and make my own conclusion.
And I try to stay away from ANYTHING that mudslinging. None of that crap is true.
I also like to look at Factcheck.org. They actually look up things both candidates say and tell you if what they said is ACTUALLY true.
I saw this link today and will be looking at it .
http://www.wptv.com/dpp/news/national/debate-fact-check-complete-breakdown-of-facts-fictions-from-the-obama-romney-denver-debate
And I watch John Stewart and Colbert. They are left leaning. But I have to tell you, some of the best news and facts come from them. Who would have known?
This is actually a great question.
This is very helpful!!!!
