Weird things your pet does...

so I noticed something funny about Maggie my kitten

she has a thing for men in suits

she will stand next to the tv - if and only if there is a man in a suit on

I mentioned this to Jake - and he said that when he has a suit on- she is all over him

anyone elses pet have funny habits?

My mom's little poodle knows when my mom is going to hang up the phone by the tone in her voice. As soon as my mom says 'alright, talk to you soon...' Bam! Jumps on the couch, wants her full attention.

Brinkley has some kind of obsession with my bare legs. If he sees skin, he has to lick it.

We taught him how to ring jingle bells that hang by the back door when he wants to go out. Yea, great.

The only problem is, when we let him out, he won't leave the back stoop.

Looks like we have more training to do on how to pee and poop without Mommy or Daddy standing next to you!

my dog has a licking obsession with my couches, I can leave for about 20 minutes come back and half my couch is soaking wet.

Well, Bailey (our dog) is full of weird habits.

For starters, he walks around on his hind legs a large part of the time. Next, anytime we mention brushing our teeth, he runs to the bathroom and puts his front paws on the counter until he gets toothpaste (he loves it!) He buries all his bones/toys, in the couch, instead of outside. Any toy that has a squeeker, he will sqeek repeditively while howling, as if he is playing an instrument and singing at the same time. He likes to lick the laptop screens!

There are probably more, he is a strange dog!! But we love him!

My girl dog is weird...

she refuses to eat on the wooden floor. Takes a food kibble and will walk all the way into our living room on our area rug to chomp the food kibble. Leaves to get another and comes back....does the same thing. Makes crumbs everywhere, that little piggie.

Also, she sometimes takes a food kibble and hides it in her blanket, covers it with her nose by pushing the blanket. Only to eat it like a second later. She is a freak but I love her to bits.

My cat rolls over and shows his belly everytime he wants attention....he's not allowed in my bedroom when I'm sleeping (b/c he keeps me up all night) and no matter how many beds he has, he sleeps right in front of my bedroom door and as soon as I open it in the morning, he shows me his belly and is ready for some AM love

Whenever I get home or first thing in the morning, Mickey meows until I pick him up and let him rub his face against mine. He will not let up until I let him "kiss" me like that. He has to rub his face against mine twice and then he'll calm down.

His brother Reagan also meows until I pick him up -- but then he isn't sure why he wanted to be picked up. So I pick him up and he stares at me like "Why did you pick me up? (sigh) are we done?"

Ollie does this weird thing, we call it alligator beast time. She lays on her back with her mouth open sitting completely frozen and the second you put your hand near her mouth she snaps at you but stays in the same positon. Only her mouth moves, like an alligator. She'll do this for a good 10 minutes.

eta: I just remembered she also sticks her tongue into ears. As far as it'll go. So gross but kind of cute. She also licks eyeballs. I don't know why.

One of my dogs loves to roll around on my clothes/towels. He goes crazy. Its the funniest thing to watch. He will not do this to anyone elses clothes either. So weird but so cute.

My doggie cannot eat food out of her bowl, she has to take it out, put it on the floor and then eat it

When we give her a treat for being a good girl she barks at it , throws it around with her mouth and then eats it

She spins when she is exited

Bella will grab at you when you walk by and hang on your leg. She has climbed all the way up to my head!

Izzy absolutely loves lotion so when I moisturize he comes over to lick my hands and face.

Both of these kitties though don't really head butt like my others. Maybe in time.

Ali tries to lick my lips after I put chapstick or lipgloss on....she's a 90 lb dog hahaha....pretty obvious! She also cuddles with DH's shoes when they're laying around on the floor....just lays right on top of them in what looks like an extremely uncomfortable way! She's pretty normal otherwise

I forgot about the chapstick! My cat loves to lick my lips but ONLY if I put on Burt's Bees lip balm. Weirdo.

We used to have a cat that loved Doritos (the orange bag). She would go nuts over them. A diff cat liked Ruffles potato chips and another loved hard-boiled egg yolks.

My dog snoop loves to suck on stuffed animals. he will lay there and keep sucking the same spot for hours. sometimes he will fall asleep with the bear still in his mouth. we think it reminds him of his mom.

he has some funny food habits

when he wants food and I am awake

he stand in front of the cabinet where we keep it

when I am sleeping- he taps me on the head

if that doesn't work

he licks my face

if I still don't get up

he bites my nose

Lilly won't eat her food (kibble) unless we "fluff" it for her - we have to go and mix it around by hand or else she won't eat it. She'll circle and circle her dish until we ask "Do you need a fluff?" and then she'll start doing her happy taps in front of her dish.

She tries to hump DH but only if he's wearing a certain sweatshirt

She won't eat her kibble near her food dish - she'll take a whole big mouthful and go somewhere else in the living room, spit it all out and then eat it.

She brings her blanket over to us when she wants to be covered. If we are sitting on her blanket, she will paw and paw at us until we get off it and then she will ask to be covered.

If we are talking to her, she'll sometimes c o c k her head as if saying "huh?"

She drinks out of a glass at night. she sleeps with us in the bed and won't settle down at night until she has taken a drink of water from the cup we keep next to the bed for her.


Oh - I can go on and on about this quirky little dog

When our puggle yawns he's really loud and he sounds like he's about to start singing!

He also licks the wall when we are leaving for work.

Wow. You guys have some really good ones!!

The only other thing I can think of is that Brinkley will channel his inner cat first thing in the morning. He will come to me and do figure 8's, pressing his body against my legs while I pet him. Then he'll do a bow but make sure to put his paws right on top of my feet and 'claw' his way up as he stretches. Not nice to feel when you're not wearing shoes!

Buddy the older cat will shake his head with his collar that has tags on it to get your attention. He's too lazy to meow. So he'll shake his head twice before he finally gives up and Meows.

Bonnie one of the younger cats.. Barks! If she sees a bug or if your rings flash a light on the wall, she'll get real stiff and then bark at the wall. Its freaky!!! just opens her mouth a little on both sides and coughs and it comes out like a bark.

Clyde the other young cat will paw the mirror at 6am every morning drives me nuts but its werid. We have no idea how he figured out how or why to jump on to the radiator then paw the mirror but its funny cause he's ALWAYS surprised to find himself in there!

Sonny, my cat, likes sweat. I'll come home from the gym and stretch, and he's all over me, sniffing my feet and licking my forehead.

eta: He also likes to play "fetch." We'll toss a ping-pong ball across a room, and he'll chase it and bring it back to us - in his mouth!

My dog loves to play catch. She will take her toy and throw it on to your lap. Then she jumps down and waits. If you ignore her, she jumps back up and puts her toy closer to your face, jumps down and waits. If you ignore her again, she will jump up and throw her toy at you, or drop it on your face if you are laying down. It is pretty funny!!

She also goes insane if you say " Want to go in the car". I can't say the word, I usually spell it out. If she hears it, she whines at the door and runs around the room.

She loves boxes and paper. She chews on my shoe boxes and any paper she can get too. She chews nothing else. It is so annoying!!!

She also barks at the TV when someone is breathing heavy. She also doesn't like one of the Christmas commericals on right now, and barks when it comes on.

There is just so much more!!

I have a few....
My dog Chloe LOVES to steal clothes from the laundry. When I have the basket of clothes out she sticks her noise in it and searches until she pulls out underwear and walks away to sit down and play with it!
My cat Blackjack lays in front of the waterbowl and instead of putting his tongue in the bowl, he puts his paw in and drinks the water from his paw.
