weird question but i want to know
so when someone ask how far along you are what do u say??
example if you are 11weeks 2 days do u say...
11wks 2days,
11weeks,
or 12 weeks
cause technically u are in your 12th week???
just curious how everyone does it?

I saw weeks and then they are like..REALLY how many MONTHS are you!..So then I had to start remembering what month I was in!
I think only preggo ppl understand the weeks thing..

I usually state the weeks and days. It is easier for me to answer the question because that is the way I think about it.

For example- I am 23 weeks- but I usually say I am about 6 months pg- a little over 23 wks.

I find when you say weeks to ppl without kids they look at you  So now I am 13 weeks 3 days. I will tell people I just started my fourth month. Sometimes I just say how many weeks.

I usually say weeks, and the last week i turned. So, right now I am 34 weeks and 4 days, and I say 34 weeks. in the 5th and 6th day of the week, i start to say teh next week, so tomorrow i would say "almost 35 weeks".
If it's a random person/stranger, i say mths. so i would say about 8.5 months now.

If it's a woman who is pregnant or recently had a baby: I tell them how many weeks. I "round up" so if I am 27 weeks 2 days, I am 27 weeks, but if I am 27 weeks 5 days, I am 28 weeks.
If it's anyone else, I am 6 months

Th same happens to me I sawy the weeks they are like "how Many months is that" and then I say the month i'm in.

I round to the month.... only the preggers understand weeks. Some people don't even know how many weeks a pregnency usually is LOL

I usually say weeks...like right now I'm 27w4d so I just say 27 weeks. Or I say I have 3 months to go if I think someone won't understand in terms of weeks.

Exactly. I've learned to say months. Many people don't know weeks.

It's funny bc after the baby is born you do the same thing..
I would say my son is "x weeks" til he was like 3.5 months old..now I am like "he's 4 months old"....I lost count of the weeks!

This is actually a pet peeve of mine...
In the beginning if I was 11 wks, 2 days I would say I just started my 11th week.
If you are 24 weeks, you are not 6 months. You are 6 months at the end of your 28th week. That is when you are starting your 7th month, therefore 6 months pregnant.
At 24 weeks, I would say I was starting my 6th month. Otherwise, if you kept going based on that, we would be pregnant for 10 months! Which is incorrect because you need to go through your first month before you are one month...

Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing...Like, by christmas I will be 16W5D...that would mean I am IN my 5th month...but I would feel funny telling people I am 5 months preggo when I will clearly NOT be. I will prob say I am a little over 4 months pregnant. Or 4 months plus one week...

Me too! It's hard for me to do the week thing since my due date has changed at every OBGYN appointment I have had.
