Wedding favors...
Is there a wedding favor you have gotten and not thrown out? Anything you would suggest or like to get?

Re: Wedding favors...
I gave out ice cream scoopers at my wedding and people loved them. They tell me all the time how they use them still. one friend even asked if I had saved any because her's broke from using it so much.

Re: Wedding favors...
We gave out coasters (with leaves on them) and every house I go to of someone that was at my wedding has them out on thier coffee table--it makes me feel like I picked a good/useful favor.

Re: Wedding favors...
for ours, i didn't want to "waste" money on something people probably wouldn't use... so we made a donation to the lance armstrong cancer fund ( my dad, and other relatives on both sides are cancer survivors). we gave each guest a yellow " livestrong" bracelet with a tag explaining the donation. everyone really loved the idea, and even 2 years later, a bunch of people are still wearing the bracelets. to me, it was a nice way to give people something, and feel like the money we spent went to a good cause.

Re: Wedding favors...
I've only saved chocolate and bottle of wine, everything else got thrown out. I'm not a knick-knack person.
Like the above poster, we took the $500. we would have spent on favors and made a charitable donation.

Re: Wedding favors...
We made cd's which we got A LOT of compliments on, including people asking for extra copies because they wore them out. We also made a donation to Make A Wish.

Re: Wedding favors...
We did wine.
I've thrown out every other wedding favor that I've gotten. I'm not a fan of chotchky-type things.

Re: Wedding favors...
Our favor was a Christmas Ornament ... a handmade Angel. They were beautiful and we got nothing but raves and we see them on everyone's Christmas tree each year.

yes! that was a great gift- most people don't have a "fancy" ice cream scoop (if they have one at all!) so when we have company over and we use our fine china-- i bring out that scoop for dessert because it's elegant! i love it!
also, we have used the glass love coasters- they come in handy for entertaining.
bottles of wine in an organza gift bag are ALWAYS a big hit.
a mikasa crystal wine stopper was really pretty and we used that a lot.
we are giving out donations to a charity- we love that because it goes to a good cause.

We did picture frames (almost 8 years ago).
My cousin did a donation and I thought that was the BEST favor ever at a wedding.

Re: Wedding favors...
Chocolate and very plain candle stick holders.
Everything else has been thrown out including the ever popular ice cream scooper. They can't go in the dishwasher and I didn't realize, so it rusted, chipped and flaked making it unsafe to scoop ice cream with.
