Re: Wedding favors...

I saw something really cute when my friend was getting married, It was a package of coffee which said "The Perfect Blend" and had the Bride & Grooms Name on it with the Weddng Date. I thought that was really cute!

Re: Wedding favors...

Only my own. Chat Icon We got married 12/29 and have a Christmassy wedding, so my favors were plantable seedcard ornaments in the shape of a white dove.

It had pine tree seeds embedded it in and you just plant the whole ornament since it was made with biodegradable paper and a little pine tree grows. Chat Icon

Re: Wedding favors...

Best favor was a mini bottle of Korbel.

The majority of the weddings I've been to have been donation favors. That would NOT FLY in my family. Chat Icon Everyone needs something to "take home". Chat Icon

We bought Lenox ornaments - angels and snowflakes.

Re: Wedding favors...

We had frosted glass coasters that spelled Love on them. It is a pack of 4 for each guests. I still have so many extras. When buying in bulk they were so cheap.

Re: Wedding favors...

I have saved:

wine stoppers
ice cream scoop

We had lasagne servers that match the ice cream scoop we got at another wedding. I've had many people ask me for another one to have 2 matching servers

Re: Wedding favors...

We did a donation favor and an American Flag pinned to the card - people were wearing them around the wedding reception.

I've only saved chocolate, wine and photo frames and candles.

Re: Wedding favors...

I had a Christmastime wedding and we gave out an ornament and a CD of our favorite Christmas songs. I see the ornament on everybody's trees, and I've had alot of people tell me that they love the CD and play it all the time during the Christmas season.

ETA: I have to say, the only things I've kept have been the ice cream scoop, and seeds to plant a weeping cherry tree.

Re: Wedding favors...

I always like a food Favor.

I gave a bag of Lindt Truffles and a Snowflake Ornament to Everyone. (not 1 per a coupe)

I'm not crazy with the Frame idea anymore. I have about 10 of them from Weddings...and its hard trying to put a photo in one of those frames.

Re: Wedding favors...

I have used the wine stopper favor I got. I also like anything edible: chocolate or a cookie or wine. We did picture frames (little ones that acted as placecards too.)

Re: Wedding favors...

The only thing we haven't tossed is an edible favor, a christmas ornament and the ice cream scoop.

I kept the coasters my brother & his wife gave out b/c I felt like I had to, but I really dislike them. They have hearts and "Love" and stuff like that all over them and that's so not me. I only put them out when they are coming over.

Other than that we haven't kept any except the CD we did for ours.

Re: Wedding favors...

I've saved the ornament favors and the wine stopper favors...anything edible or drinkable, wasn't saved but rather ingested Chat Icon

We gave out little windchimes. Almost 3 years later, it's nice to go to people's homes and see them hanging up...so I guess ours was something that was saved.

Re: Wedding favors...

I always thought that the wedding favors i received were cheesy. So, when i got married in January, i did Donation Favors. I made a donation in the name of each guest to my favorite charity. I put donation cards on every plate. It went over very well. Everyone thought it was a great idea.

for ours, i didn't want to "waste" money on something people probably wouldn't use... so we made a donation to the lance armstrong cancer fund ( my dad, and other relatives on both sides are cancer survivors). we gave each guest a yellow " livestrong" bracelet with a tag explaining the donation.
everyone really loved the idea, and even 2 years later, a bunch of people are still wearing the bracelets. to me, it was a nice way to give people something, and feel like the money we spent went to a good cause.

I did something similiar - w/ Susan G. Komen foundation since my mom passed of breast cancer. I put the pink bracelet into a see-thru mesh bag (bought the bags on ebay super cheap) with a card that read:

In lieu of a wedding favor, Justin and I have made a donation to the Susan G.Komen breast cancer foundation. On such an unforgettable day, we could never forget a cause so close to our hearts. thank you for celebrating with us.

Re: Wedding favors...

Donations to a good and meaningful(to the couple) cause!

Our wedding was 3 weeks after Katrina so we donated there as well as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society b/c of my brother.
