warm winter jacket advice

I am looking to get my 15 month old a winter jacket, I was looking at some of the northface but cant tell what is will be warm enough. Does anyone recommend their winter coat or company/brand that is actually warm, but not bulky.

Lands end jackets are nice and warm and not thick at all.

Just remember winter coats and carseats don't mix. So don't get something too thick!

I second Land's End jackets. They have temp ratings on them. We have one for DD1 and it's awesome. Not bulky at all, and they have room to grow arms (you release stitching to lengthen them)

We liked the 3 in 1 jacket from Childrens Place last year and bought it again for this year. DD also has a north face fleece.

Re: warm winter jacket advice

Lands End Squall
Super warm- rated to like -5 degrees I think
Yet thin enough for the carseat

I just got DD the Northface with the fur hood and the belt. It's called greenland I think. It's super warm.

The 3 in 1 from children's place is good. The fleece lining is removable. I think when my granddaughter was in the carseat she didn't use the fleece lining. The jacket isnt "puffy" so its ok in the carseat. She had one last year and we just got her anew one for this year.

My boys have the North face Denali. I won't put them in something puffy or bulky in the car. They have puffy jackets for snow play.

It was $79 when I bought it last month- but they were doing 40% off site wide that day and free shipping.
It was the jacket though, not the longer parka

Yes, I thought I paid 60 or 70. Definitely not 120. I guess I'll just have to wait for another sale. Thanks!

This is what we got for DD too and am happy that we will still be able to use the one from last year. And of course, it's warm but not thick. I think ours is called the squall jacket.

I also got mine during a big sale (which they always seem to be having). Definitely did NOT pay $100.

I found a Children's Place jacket at Once Upon a Child (I have to add that it is in perfect condition and it was $10!) But it has the fleece lining inside that can be taken out if I just wanted to put the fleece on him. Seems like a very warm jacket
