Vision correction?
Just wondering how many people have some sort of vision correction. Glasses, contacts, Lasik, etc. I've worn glasses since 6th grade or so, I think.

I had Lasik three years ago (I don't even remember exactly) and it was the best thing I've ever done!!
I wore contacts for probably 18 years (started after high school, had trouble seeing distance/driving at night).

I've worn glasses since 2nd grade! I started wearing contacts when I was 14 & use them most of the time. I'm very nearsighted.

i wear contacts most of the time. i actually prefer glasses (more confortable) but i have a hard time finding ones i like - i am very picky!
i will most likely be getting lasik next year and i can't wait!!

I wear contacts mostly but if I'm not going anywhere or just running to the store then I wear glasses. I went for the consultation for LASIK several years ago and it just didn't appeal to me.

Glasses for distance. Mostly when I am driving. I probably should wear them more often than that, but I don't.

Dh had lasik done in Setauket a few years ago and has 20/20 vision.
I wear contacts and glasses.

I wore glasses since I was 6 years old. I switched to contacts when I was 14 and I had lasik back in January 2002. My vision is still near perfect and I never regret having lasik. I wore coke bottle glasses before the surgery.

Blind as a bat here too. Wear contact 99% of the time. I wear glasses to get up out of bed and make my way to the bathroom to put in my contacts.

I can't seen an inch in front of me without my contacts. I've had bad eyes since 3rd grade.
I only wear my glasses at night after taking my contacts out, to watch tv in bed.
I wouldn't consider the lasik... I don't mind wearing my contacts. It's just part of my daily routine and since i've been wearing contacts for over 14 years i'm used to it.

Started wearing glasses in 6th grade.
Got contacts in the 9th grade.
Got Lasik in January 2001 (I was 26).
Great decision to have that surgery.

I once had 20/20. Then I turned 38 and needed glasses for distance.
I prefer glasses. I'm afraid of lasik. Though my parents are elderly and have gotten lasik, so I may do that when I get older.

I would like to have Lasik, but Kathy Griffin (the comedienne, and star of "My life on the D-List") had Lasik, and she won a lawsuit against the doctor because they did a really bad job, and she's either partially, or totally blind in one eye. I know that it is a very rare occurrence, and techniques and procedures have improved tremendously over the years, but I'm still nervous about it.
