very , very bad news
had an OBGYN visit today and there was no heartbeat. I'm 10 weeks and 3 days , fetus was measuring around 9 weeks so it happened sometime last week. I was feeling fine, no cramping nothing, still nothing, no cramping, no bleeding , nothing....
She said I can either wait or do a D&C . Not sure what to do, what to think, what to feel. I had a bad feeling about this pregnancy from the very beginning , almost like I knew something was going to go wrong, don't know what it was....
anyway, I'm in shock , please forgive me if I come off weird or crazy....
Thnk God my DH was with me, but my DD was with us too, I tried so hard not to cry , but finally I just broke down, my DD kept asking me if the dr hurt me 
When she started doing the abdominal sono and I didn't see the flicker I knew, then they did the other kind and it was confirmed .....

Just a question to ask the Dr. If you have the D&C can they test for any abnormalities. This might help you in the future.

Sorry for your loss. I've never been in that position but I think I might give myself a time frame for it to happen naturally and then do the d&c? Hard to give advice on that.

I am sooooo sorrry ---- so many of us have been in your shoes and it is very hard --- but it does get easier.
I found out I lost our baby at 8w4d and my Dr strongly urged me to get a D&C --- she said that going through it naturally could be very painfull and could tke a few days.
I ended up having the D&C a mere 5 hours after we found out -- and am honestly so glad that I did. The procedure itself is not painful (I was in more pain prior) just emotionally draining.... but you know that it is done and you don't have to wait for it to happen.
Feel free to FM if you want someone to talk to ---- and please visit the TTC & Pregnancy after Miscarriage forum.... they are allll so helpful over there.

yes my OBGYN mentioned to do this. I'm waiting for them to call me back and let me know when they can take me. I feel like I need to do the D&C , I don't think I can handle waiting for it to happen and then see all the blood and all that....
But I'm terrified of the D&C

I am so very sorry.
As someone who has been through the exact same situation a couple of times, I would suggest maybe going for the D&C. I think going through the natural miscarriage would be way too devastating.

I am so so sorry... I experienced a natural miscarriage. It was spontaneous so obviously i didnt have a choice. But having needed a d&c anyway because there was still tissue left... i would never have opted for the natural m/c if i had a choice.
ETA: i just saw your second post about being terrified of the d&c... there is a thread on the m/c board were most of us described our experiences. I will try and find it for you!

Crashing to say I am so sorry for your loss.
I had a similar situation at 10 weeks and I had a D&C. While I was scared (I have never even had a cavity or broken a bone, never mind been put under!), the procedure itself was really easy and my physical recovery was as well.
I couldn't handle the waiting and not knowing what would happen or when, and I know it was the right decision for me.

Dont be afraid of the D&C. THis process is more emotional than physical witha D&C. I have had D&Cs for other reasons that were no pain and a relatively easy proceedure. I think the diffiuclty you will have is more with the emotional loss and delaign with that which will be difficult. The D&C though can bring you answers that will help in the long run.
