vanity question about being preggers

i've heard from some friends and have read online that people that are pregnant with girls tend to gain weight all over. and with boys - just a belly.

is this true? did you ladies that were pregnant with girls look big all over?

I have heard this too. With DS you wouldn't know I was pregnant from behind. I had a basket ball belly. I'm not sure what this one is but it's too early to tell how I am carrying.

I am 9 months PG with a boy and I think I am all belly. I gained very very slightly everywhere and have a basketball. My arms and face didnt change at all though. This is my first pregnancy though so now sure how I would carry with a girl.

I'm 26 weeks and having a . I have gained 17 lbs so far and it's all in my belly. I don't know what's going to happen over the next 14 weeks but I do think every pregnancy is different.

I've heard the same thing, but everybody carries differently. I am 21 weeks and have gained a bit more compared to the other ladies on this board, but everyone tells me I'm all belly and I am having a Who knows how I will look in a few more weeks.

I have a DD, and I am 12 weeks, so I don't know what I am having yet-- but so far it's the same. I have already gained 8 lbs (gained 12 last time in my first trimester). I guess that is just what happens to my body.

I am mainly pregnant in my boobs, but feel like the weight is going everywhere and my belly just looks fat. I really just feel like I gained 8lbs-- not because I am prego. I had a very little prego belly, and just gained weight everywhere last time.

I personally think it's just how your body reacts to pregnancy-- has nothing to do with sex of baby, although I am pulling for another DD and everything is kinda the same this time. We'll see!!

I didn't put on weight anywhere else.

i do feel like my butt and legs got bigger this time with a girl, although a coworker said that she couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind.

I haven't gained in my face though.

I'm having a girl and everyone says I'm all belly. At 33weeks I think I've gained almost 20lbs. I've eaten healthy and worked out the whole time - that probably helped.

For me, it was true. I didn't gain weight anywhere but my belly with DS and from behind, you couldn't tell I was pregnant.
