I think they really should be saying mama papa and one other word if I remember... ds had barely that at 1y ... at 15m he was talking in sentences. At 2, people ask me why my talkative 4y wont tell them his name....
Talk about comparing ... my mother said I was yapping up a storm at 12m... and in contrast, according to MIL DH didnt say a word till 24m, and then only said "i dont know" and "no" for months. So my mother harassed me that DS must be behind, and my MIL thinks DS is gifted .. cant win lol

ummmmm yeah...so mine only says mama and dada...and OW (as in ouch)
ETA: one time it sounded like he said happy, clear as day (I had been repeating it over and over while doing if you're happy and you know it) but he has never said it again and now DH thinks I made it up lol

OMG Jen this thread is making me nervous !!!
My boys are 11 months and just say dada n ACCCCKK (for jack our dog)
And neither are close to walking!
