UPDATED ***so nervous - Aly is having tubes put in her ears tomorrow AM. prayers plse.
I really hate the idea of her being put to sleep. But I know she needs this surgery. UGH wish us luck please.
they want us there are 6:45 am and its 45 min away!
UPDATE: Aly did great today! Phew. Thank goodness its over with. For me, wayching her fight the little mask and fall asleep was the hardest. She remembers nothing but that. As a matter of fact, just a little bit ago she said" mama, the dr. forgot to put tubes in my ears today. all he did was put that mask over my face that made me cry".
She did wake up very upset and it took about 20 min to calm her down. As soon as she got home she ate and drank which was a good sign. She fell asleep on the right home. We had to wake at 5:30 to get there this morning. Mommy needs a nap!
Thank you all for your well wishes and sharing your personal stories with this. Lets hope Aly has no more ear infections. now.
 you ladies are awesome and so supportive.

Trust me its SUPER quick. AJ was taken from us and we had to stay strong and act like it was a fun thing she was off to do. Never once showed our concern in anyway to her and so she was totally fine with it.
Once they walked out of sight we were told to wait in the waiting room. I was a bundle of nerves and called my dad. Less than 10mins later they said "She's done" I was shocked! Felt literally like no time at all!
Bring her something to eat or drink her favorites. It helped soothe AJ to have her juice (we even put it in a bottle which she normally never gets). we brought her toys and some treats. They made us stick around for about a half hour or more to be sure she was up on her feet and ok before we could leave.

I assure you that it will be harder on you than on her. It is over lickety split - 15 minutes tops and she will more than likely be able to resume all activities as quickly as possible! Good luck!

She'll do great!!! About an hour after the procedure you won't even know she had anything done!!
I've been through 3 surgeries so far and they are harder on us than them

Dawn, I was just thinking of you and was going to FM you. She will be just fine, and like everyone else said, it is worse on you than her. Lots of luck and let us know how she does.

Hang in there! It really will be harder on you than it will on your DC. Jake had this done in February and I cannot tell you how much his hearing and speech have improved... and no more infections! I wish you guys all the best tomorrow!
