UPDATED: I WENT TO THE HOUSE: Scare of my life today!- All is fine but very shaken up
So I go to take DD for a walk this afternoon when we got a few breaks of sun.
Lately she walks holding my hand but today I decided I want her to try and nap so I put her in the stroller and we go on our walk.
We are about 2 blocks from my house and I check her she is just dozing off...perfect....
I am walking and all of a sudden a car full speed pulls out of a driveway hehind bushes as we are passing!!! I screamed!!
God was there with me bc how I got her out of harms way I willl never know. I somehow turned the stroller in the air and the car just grazed the edge of the stroller, never touched DD.
It was a teenage girl who said she never looked while pulling out of her driveway. she said she was looking down She has a cell in her hand and I bet you she was texting!
I hardly yelled the way I would want to yell now. I was just sooo shooken up and grateful DD was 120% fine. I wish I yelled at her more. all I kept saying was how do you not look!!! I must have repeated myself 99 times! I was hysterical!! I was more hysertical than mad at that point.
What an afternoon and my DD gaurdian angel was with us for sure
UPDATE Thursday afternoon
So All day I passed the house and no one was home. So I took one last try a little while ago and passed while DD and I were on our way home in the car. There was an older couple sitting on the porch and a bunch of kids playing (The girl's car wasnt there).
So I pulled in front and asked if they were the owners and indeed they said yes. The woman came ot the car and I explained what happed and she was so upset and apologetic. She wanted to know the color of the car and when I told her she said that is her granddaughter, apparently it is a 2 family house. She said the girls parents are on vacation right now (so I guess I was wrong of who that man was that came out, which explains why he didnt repsond the way a father should). She said she will absolutely speak with her granddaughter and she really couldnt have apologized more. She also said that those bushes are against town code (the bushes as I looked at them today line the driveway but now I see they dont belong to that house, they belong next door). again, that in no means is an excuse, and I did say that. She agreed, gave me right and really felt bad
So at least I got a little closure on this and again I am just so thankful things didnt turn out worse
Thanks to all of you for all your responses and FMs!!!
I didnt sleep one second last night thinking of what could have been!

That is so scary!! So glad you are both ok and you were able to react as fast as you did!
I hope that girl also got the scare of her life (knowing the harm she could have caused) and will always look before pulling out from now on.
eta: I would have been a basket case myself but initially i am sure you are in such shock you dont know what to say.

OMG I am just relieved that your DD was not hurt. I know you wish you laced into the girl more but I am sure it scared the bejesus out of her....hopefully enough to be more careful.

I lost my sh!t in a more hysterical sort of way. I mean I swear I was numb, my hands were shaken so bad it was unreal.
The father came out and asked what happened (it was about 5 min later) I told him and he just assured DD was fine. In hindsight I am not sure if he could have been more, but truthfully it is a blur to me bc I got soo upset.
Me, now I am ready to scream at her and the father, but then I was crying to hard..

I really did scream at her just kinda in a crying way. NOW I want to scream in a YELLING way! I want to kick the C r a p out of her now...maybe I was pretty mean with her....I just dont know...I know I sound nuts, at that moment my mind was too much on my DD.

What did her dad say?
Technically, she hit you - file a police report. Did you really check out the stroller for any small stress fractures?

I looked and didnt see. At the moment all I cared about was DD so I didnt think of a police report bc she was fine.
But I underastand what you are saying.
Her dad...um...he was like what happened. he just asked if we were ok. I believe he should have been more sympathetic or upset, maybe he was...I was a lunatic so I cant say honestly. I know that s a bad answer.
