Re: Would you take an induction if it was offered?

I had an induction for 1st DS. But he was 4 days later and measuring 8lbs 10oz well he came out 9lbs 12 oz. I had him Vaginally...owww!

2nd DS I was scheduled for an induction a day earlier than my due date. I was sched for 6:45am and I wound up contracting at 1am that morning. I went in and I went a lil on my own then was hooked up to pitocin to speed it up

Both inductions for me were not an issue but i was closer over over 40 weeks.

But then again if the drs are telling you the baby is measuring big I can understand wanting to be induced. I will tell you my first son was NO WALK in the park and if I would of known I would of wanted to be induced.

But just b/c you are being induced doesnt mean C Section....

If you are dilated I would consider it more. The only way i did not want to be induced was if I was was not dilated on my own at all.

Maybe hang in there a lil closer to 40 weeks. Even just another week.

Good luck.
I know you said DH doesnt agree. My DH was behind me 100% on inductions. So I am not sure about that.

Sometimes it's nice to have the decision out of your hands! Now you and DH don't have to debate the issue. Good Luck!!

I'm 36.5 weeks with #2 and was offered an induction at 39 weeks and said no. Unless medically necessary I'm going to let Chat Icon come on his own even though I'd love for him to be early and would love to know exactly where we'll be and where our DD will be - right now it's all up in the air and I'm a bit nervous!
