update with 1st beta #'s! **w/ 2nd update
So I went back to the doctor today, the sonogram shows the tiniest sac (2 mm!), which is an improvement from Friday when they didn't see anything in my uterus. My first beta # from Friday was 180 and progesterone was 40.1, which the doctor said is a great #! They drew more blood today so I'll have those results tomorrow to make sure the beta has doubled. The sono tech was so funny, she said I am like a "hot second pregnant"  I guess despite my cycle being long (almost 40 days this month) if you go by conception timeframe it's still early. I go back on Thursday to make sure the sac has progressed (they're still not ruling out an ectopic, even though she said if that were the case my beta# would probably be higher).
So the spotting and the mild cramping I had have both stopped, I take these as positive signs even though I know I will not feel 100% out of the woods until i"m out of the first trimester. Thank you for any prayers or thoughts you sent my way, I really really appreciate them and hope I continue to get good news w/ the blood test results tomorrow! 
UPDATE 2/22, just got the call from the doctor's office (after the agonizing wait of 2 days for the bloodwork to come back!!)....and my latest beta # was 852!!!  that means they QUADRUPLED from Friday's # of 180 (3 days prior). So the 852 would be roughly 18 dpo. PHEW big sigh of relief!! I go back tomorrow night for a 3rd blood test, and then HOPEFULLY that's it for a while!
3rd # was 3800, 3 days after my last # of 852!!! YAYYYY!!! Now let's see if the psychic I went to was right about having twins!!

Those are GREAT #s 
too funny what your sono tech said... the girl at my office told me that when the dr saw my #s he said 'were the sheets still wet?'

That's great news! My dr called me when she got my beta results and said "you're only a little bit pregnant". She meant it was early but I almost cried because I thought she meant I was miscarrying again. I'll say some prayers that your bloodwork results are good

that is an awkward phrase, "a little bit pregnant" especially to someone who had miscarried!!! how pregnant are you now? good luck!!!

ha!! I was thinking that was why, when I hear stuff like this from my bff/the nurse it makes me grateful I'm not a nurse, sometimes I don't want the inside scoop! lol When my friend worked for an ob/gyn she said she saw one of the male docs looking at a magazine like Maxim in his office, GROSS if you're looking at hoo-hah's all day maybe you shouldn't be looking at any publications that just MIGHT get you aroused lol (I actually think it was a magazine more risque than Maxim!!). I used to go to that practice until she told me, no thanks!!

I thought it was a poor choice of words as well. I'm 7 weeks.

So AGGRAVATING! My doctor's office said they wont have yesterday's blood test results until tomorrow  why does everything take SO long with this office UGH! I asked why it would take 2 days and she said the blood was probably sent over to the lab late
