UPDATE: Since you've all been so patient with me
I think that we are stuck....no one has the hours we need, the facility we want. How can we be in this position

We have several appointments now thanks to so many of you! I love you all...I don't care if we've never met......I love you with all my heart!!!  Thank you for being so patient with my complaining and even more for jumping up to help me. All the FMs, all the posts, all those wonderful hugs. I wish I could show you how much my heart beams with appreciation.
Now...at almost 3:30 I can truly say I feel like everything is going to be okay. Thank you all for that

Would you consider a group family daycare? My DD is in one, and though I was skeptical at first, I love it now. You can look up ones in your area by zip code here:

Thanks everyone...I appreciate it. I'm sorry to be so negative...I just want to cry...it's so frustrating...we thought we were in the perfect place and I hate that we have to leave. I don't know what to do. Everyone has later drop off and earlier pick up - different class environments and I am so worried that I will be doing more harm that good for Lucas.
I wish this all never happened.

Are you fed up with the individual teacher or everyone there? Will he be moving to a new room at the facility soon that it would be worth it for you to hang in there until then?

I prefer a facility and not a home or a place inside a church or temple.
DH has been trying to help me with calls....I just needed a break from this and he sounded pretty positive about Mimi's Creative Kids in Lynbrook. Anyone have any feedback? They told him the hours were 7:30 - 6 and didn't know if they offered extended hours for a fee. Does anyone here know?

It's a teacher (who is really an assistant and will probably leave when she get's her degree) and unfortunately there is a problem with the director...She doesn't recall that I came to her after I left the classroom to show her Lucas' unknown bite and she is sticking by the teacher.
I understand that in one way...but would have preferred that she did the right thing and only allowed the known facts to be written on the report.

I looked there when we were considering living in Lynbrook and liked it. From what I remember, they don't offer any extended hours past 6, which was our problem with it. We can't get DD before 6:30, so we ran into a problem with the hours at many of the centers like you are now. That is why we ended up at a group family day care. You should ask though -- maybe it's changed since we looked?

I don't know what their hours are there but my little sister (age 3) goes there and she loves it and my mom is really happy with them. She may be switchinng as of September b/c she would like to start her in a Montessori, but they have had a positive experience there (except for one incident where apparently the lead teacher of my sister's class was favoring her a bit much to the point they were concerned she was being baby'd). But, hard to be upset about that - she knew my sister is adopted and wanted to give her a little extra attention.

What about Rose Garden in Bellmore? I believe their standard hours are 7-7 - would that work for you since they are closer than Lynbrook to you? This place was my second choice.

Don't give up! Do you have any Tutor Times near you? I worked there years ago and I was the "closer". I worked until 7PM. I do believe they have late hours.
I have another recommendation, but, I think it's too far for you.

The hours are 7-7, you just pay for either 8 hours, 10 hours, or 12 and they stay in the same class all day.
