Can i vent to you a little, well maybe a lot, im feeling jealous
Yesterday and today i found out 2 different people are Pregnant,My sister's sil and a boss at work,Dont get me wrong i'm thrilled and happy for them 'BUT' as you all know because i posted it about it that i wont be able to have children because of my medicine and also if i did get pregnant i could either die while giving birth or I can have seizures,that's if they put me on a med that i can get pregnant on but i dont want to risk a good thing now. Iknow i'm being silly and immature but i just cant help but feel jealous and envy because i wont ever feel that baby grow inside of me, I'm sorry to be a downer but this is how i feel, I know this is bad that i'm feeling like this and it's making me really depress... Ok vent over carry on with your night.

if i was in your shoes, i think i would feel the same way. remember, there's other means to have a child. being with friends this weekend will cheer u up have bryan play the elmo

vent away thats what we are here for.. all i can say is that you sound like you have so much love to give and thats why you are sad and thats an amazing quality. life has thrown you a curve ball .. I myself like so many of us have awful obstacles and all we can do is be there for eachother here on the boards.. vent vent let it all out !

I went to a High risk neurology and this was my second opinion. Yes, I know, i should get a third 'BUT' what happens if the third opinion is the same as the 1st and 2nd, i just dont know how i will be able to handle that kind of news again. Thank you all for your support, i'll try not to complain so much about this, but it's a deep hurt inside and i felt like i needed to get it out.Thank you again for listening and your support.

I totally understand
I had a really bad seizure in my early 20's and was on heavy duty meds for over a decade.... they came very close to putting me on barbituates  but I told them that I wanted 'a life'.
My situation eventually resolved itself, so I'm able to conceive now.... but for over a decade it didn't look like I would ever be, and I was rather sad about it.
If you genuinely want to have children, I recommend you persevere and visit other neurology specialists (especially ones who do research and are up on the latest medications) to see if there's any category B drug you could switch to so you could conceive. It can't hurt to keep trekking to different Dr's... you could only possibly get a happy answer you didn't expect

i COMPLETELY understand!! i am in the same boat. i was born with a genetic disorder called Turner's syndrome. basically, i'm missing one of the X chromosomes that girls are supposed to have... so my ovaries aren't formed, so i have no eggs. i do have uterus, so technically i could carry a child, but they dont' recommend it at all because of possible heart problems and other health problems for me. to me, its not worth risking.
knowing that the only way we will be able to be parents is through filling out MOUNDS of adoptiong paperwork: sitting through health screenings, filling out financial forms to see if we have enough money for child, sitting through home visits to see if our house is "nice" enough for a child, and then waiting who know how long to actually get the baby is VERY VERY hard. especially when you hear about teenagers or drug users with NOTHING getting pregnant so easlly. its very painful and frustrating.
but you just have to keep pushing on, and keep looking at the bright side of things, that there are ways that you can become a mom, and that someday you can help a child who otherwise would not have a loving home to grow up in. definitely feel free to FM me ANYTIME, because i totally know where you're coming from!

If I was you, I would still keep getting opinions...you have already heard what you think is the worst news you can handle..it does not hurt to get any more perspectives. You seem to have so much love to give, I hope you can find a solution in becoming a mom.

I went through it too. Getting phone calls that this one is PG and that one is PG and I was NOT allowed to even think about it (TTC) until we had answers.
