TTC 3+ years for #2

DH and I have been TTC for #2 for over 3 years. We have a beautiful healthy amazing 5 year old daughter who took us only 5 months to conceive.
I've had pretty much every test done on me - a full cycle watch at RSofNY, HSG, 3 and 21 day blood work (multiple times) and all signs point to NO ISSUES.
DH does not want to get tested. His argument is that he wants hope every single month. I kind of agree and since neither of us want intervention, I guess it doesn't really matter.

So that's my story. I'm just hopeful and praying that we can add to our little family soon.

Good luck ladies. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

3+ years is a really long time. He won't just get an SA? Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather know what's going on. Especially if it's something easily fixed! You can still have hope every single month...and maybe even better hope!

i agree. do you think maybe he's scared of it him being the issue and he doesnt want the burden of knowing that it may be him? maybe have a good talk with him about that. Chat Icon

It doesn't bother u to go through so many tests and he won't do a SA? I told my hubby I wouldn't try anymore until he got checked too. It's a scary process but I'm not sure it changes your level of hope to know what if anything you are dealing with.

IMO, if I have to go through testing so does my husband. It would kill my DH more if the issue was with him and we waisted so much time trying without knowing that.

My DH was hesitant at first, but soon realized what I would be having tested, etc. and gave his SA like a champ. I'd rather know what was going on.

Sometimes just a simple diet change or adding a supplement can improve your chances. I wouldn't even call it an intervention. It's your choice, but there are so many options that don't include "interventions" per se.

if neither of you want intervention it doesn't matter how long it takes, it sounds like if it happens it happens, unless I am reading it wrong. Good luck

Have you tried PreSeed? We were trying to conceive for #2 for 18 months and then one day I tried this and was pregnant the next month. Maybe it was coincidental but its worth the try! Good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
