Re: Trick or Treating- what are the rules on a Saturday?

I expect the doorbell to start ringing around noon.

I won't be going out with kids around 2p. I figure, if it's a nice day...we'll trick or treat for about 2 hours.

I don't care if kids ring the doorbell early...because let's face it, I have two toddlers...I'm awake early. I hate whent he teenagers are still ringing the doorbell at 930p at night.

When we were little and Halloween fell on the weekend we were out morning, noon, and night and so were all the other kids in the neighborhood. I would expect kids from 10am on into the evening. I'm prepared for knocks at the door all day anoh god night while I am home. Chat Icon

OMG - I hope that doesn't happen. I hadn't even thought about this. We get so many kids around here I won't get a chance to sit all day.

After lunch so 1pm.
I think my kids will have more fun answering the door then going door to door. I can't wait to see their reaction this year.

We get a lot of kids too! We're going out in the afternoon ourselves trick-or-treating and to the Stony Brook Village Scarecrow Festival and Trick-or-Treat but I will stock up on candy just to be safe. Chat Icon

I wasn't planning on going until the late afternoon, but we now have a kid party and an adult party later that day and that night, so it looks like I'll be taking the kids out earlier than I planned. I guess around 2 p.m. we'll head out. I'm loving and hating the fact its on a Saturday.

I am hoping most parents do not start until after lunch time- around Noon-1pm.
We don't plan to start until after Jason's nap around 1 or 2pm.

I have a feeling that we will get little ones during the day and teens in the evening.

My DH has to leave for work at 2 so we will probably go after 12 so he can participate a little. Then we are headed to my sisters to go with my niece. They do cute things on her block.Chat Icon
