We'll probably go no earlier than 11am, depending on how the day goes, hit a parade in town. If someone shows up at my door earlier than 9am, I'm planning on scaring the bejesus out of them.

We are going to start around 11 I guess. Just going to do my cul-de-sac and one other block around my house. Then we are going to head down to my friend's house and go around by her. Are you guys planning on buying more candy than usual???

I didn't even think of the handing out candy part. Our local neighborhood stores do a trick or treat street every year- it should be really fun on a Saturday. Chat Icon

I had no clue about this either. Funny, I was assuming people would still do it in the evening/at night.

I was thinking about doing the afternoon after DS's nap. Probably around 4ish.

Re: Trick or Treating- what are the rules on a Saturday?

We are going with DS at 5pm

Personally, I don't want people ringing my door bell all day from morning to evening.

Re: Trick or Treating- what are the rules on a Saturday?

I think I'm going to try to give Kaydyn an early nap and go over to my mom's around 2:30/3 and just hit some of her neighbors.

Then go to my sisters around 5/6 to go trick or treating in her development.

Same here. It's going to be a NIGHTMARE with the dog if people are ringing the bell alllllll day.

We'll be going out probably about 4 or 5...DH and my BIL's have to work, so we all go together when everyone is done...then have dinner afterwards....

But I'm sure I'll have TOT's at my house from 11/12 on...

Re: Trick or Treating- what are the rules on a Saturday?

We'll probably go earlier in the day - I would think it would start around 11. We don't get many kids usually but I think with it being a Saturday its "game on". We're having a party at night so I need to get home to get ready yet make sure the kids are fully tricked and treated.

I should probably get the kids costumes huh.......

When we were little and Halloween fell on the weekend we were out morning, noon, and night and so were all the other kids in the neighborhood. I would expect kids from 10am on into the evening. I'm prepared for knocks at the door all day and night while I am home. Chat Icon

I think we will take DD to my mom's and MIL's in the late morning and then take her out and meet up with friends after her nap (3pm).
