Re: Trend? Mismatched nightstands....

We have 2 different nightstands. They have the same look, finish & top. One is more like a tiny dresser - I like that look.

I don't care from matchy matchy at all.

Our dresser & armoire will be from a seperate shop - we are having them custom made.

I've always had matching nightstands and never thought to have mismatched ones....but if it's part of the same set like the Ethan Allen set I'd totally buy different ones !! Since they still technically "match" to me.

Re: Trend? Mismatched nightstands....

as long as it is done well and looks intentional, I'm pretty down with any design. (DH doesnt have a nightstand, I have a little table.)

Same here!

Although we're probably getting matching nightstands...but they don't match our dresser set purposely so its not matchy matchy.

I'm not a set person, I don't like matchy-matchy. I love the look of 2 different nightstands - they should be the same color and height...

ITA. i have a "feminine" ans "masculine".

Re: Trend? Mismatched nightstands....

We have different ones only because we don't have a complete bedroom set. Someday I hope to have a complete matching set with matching nightstands but that is just my opinion.

Re: Trend? Mismatched nightstands....

I can mix the furniture, but the nighstands have to be a matching set for me.

We have non-matching, but that's because when we set up our bedroom, we couldn't afford a set, so we used whatever we could find..... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

That's kind of the look we have going. I had stuff, then we added stuff, and I painted my old stuff. . .so our night stands are 2 different ones from the same line, but his is stained and mine is painted (b/c it was previously stained a blue I was over by the time DH moved in)

I need matching...otherwise I feel the bedroom is lopsided.

Re: Trend? Mismatched nightstands....

We have a small bedroom, so we got matching nightstands, I think it would make my small room un-even.
