Toddler Screeching - make it stop!
So my DS2 is just over a year and a half old and the child SCREECHES non-stop. I feel like I may go deaf if this keeps up any longer. He screams if he doesn't get his way, to get attention, if he wants something, if he's impatient... all of the normal toddler things. I know that as his language improves, {hopefully} the screaming should ease up, but it's been relentless. It's been at least a month of this behavior at this point and finally I said, I need to put it out there to the other mamas for suggestions because my ears are bleeding with every screech.
I know it's most likely "just a phase" - I remember DS1 doing it as well - but I don't remember it lasting this long or know how to change the behavior. Any and all suggestions for help welcome please!!

Do you respond to the screeching? From a behavioral standpoint don't respond to it tell him he's a big boy and needs to use his words or point. By 18 months he should have a few functional words such as baba is he is hungry. Only respond to an appropriate request! Hang in there!!!
