I'd go life is too short to schedule life around a nap. Your Daughter will only be able to celebrate so many of your FIL birthdays days I would cherish each of them.

Interesting that this gets so much action. I don't skip things for nap. My sister does. We do plan things around her kids nap... so I get your annoyance. It is annoying also as a person having a block of time in the day when nothing can be planned (it's 3 hours because of commute/nap prep/waking time).
