TMI question about the big O

Ok, so I've been having something very strange happen to me since I've been pregnant. I sometimes have spontaneous orgasms in my sleep. Mind you I'm only 6 1/2 weeks, and this has happened 3 times since 4 weeks. And what's even stranger is that sometimes I'm not even dreaming about something sexual when it happens, they just happen.

So you would think, oh that's nice to have that without having to do anything. But they are always followed by intense cramping and back pain that usually fades away after a minute or so. But last night it happened and the pain stayed for an hour! I was so uncomfortable and scared something was wrong.

Has this happened to anyone? Should I tell my doc?

Re: TMI question about the big O

Happens to me. Happened even before I was pregnant the first time. It happened quite often when I was on pelvic rest because I wasn't getting any Os when I was awake. I was a little worried about it then because I was supposed to be Oing (had previa at the time), but there was nothing I could do about it. I have never had pain from it. If it's causing you pain, tell your doc. Otherwise, just enjoy Chat Icon

Oh man it's going to be embarrasing telling my doc about this! I wish I didn't get them, I mean they're nice for the O part but the pain part makes it not worth it!

Re: TMI question about the big O

Happens to me ALOT. I read that it is very common.

eta: everything i read said you will experience cramping etc for about 1-2 mins bc the uterus is so sensitive right now. This is why i am avoiding O in non-sleep time bc i hate the craming up. But in my sleep i cant control it. You could mention to dr but if you google it you will see how often it happens and that your effects are normal too

Re: TMI question about the big O

lol i feel like I coud'e posted this myself! I'm 9 weeks and for like 2 weeks now Ive been having such vivid dreams, one day I even woke up and asked DH if we BD'd the night before lol he's like umm no but u were making weird noises in ur sleep lol. It def feels real and I do get slight cramping after but my Dr said BD can cause some uterine contractions especially if you O so it's completly normal. I feel a lil guilty though b/c I think DH is jealous of all the "fun" i've been having without him lol!

Re: TMI question about the big O

I think it has to do with the increased blood flow which increases your sensitivity.... which is also why sex during the second tri is so much more enjoyable (if you can get around already feeling huge)
