Timeshare Owners
Have you even been entirely SOL for booking a trip, or does something usually come up?
I put in my request a few months ago for some weeks this summer. I got a call today offering me a resort close to what I wanted, but not the exact one. The girl on the phone was giving me an attitude of "well, take it or leave it. It's hard to get what you want, so you might not have a vacation at all"
I want to wait it out to get the place I asked for. Do you think something will eventually come up or I will be out a vacation??

I usually search Interval International's website myself and pick from there- have never looked for a specific place. I find the same places come up over and over.
I think it depends on which place you really want but I would hold on a bit longer, It's not like its a take it or leave it situation with the first place that they offer you.

Can you book online and use an ongoing search. We have only had our timeshare for three years so we haven't used it much yet. Our upcoming Orlando trip we got the place we wanted by searching online.

We did get a call once with someone with that attitude but ended up getting our choice. We were looking at Aruba in early December - off peak.
It depends though on where/when you are going though.
