Wow! It is Thursday already!

What color will you paint the nursery? Furniture? Any hand-me-downs?

I'm going to go with a green nursery...maybe some thick stripe walls and a wallpaper trim. I want dark furniture (even though I'll be dusting it everyday). I have no furniture hand-me-downs, but I do have my christening gown that everyone in my Mom's family has worn. Also, I can't wait to get a glider!!!!!!! BTW, I live in a one bedroom apt so I think I would have to move!

i am picturing a light pale yellow nursery with dark furniture as well. and i already know where i want to place the glider lol.

not sure if i will go with any themes yet (like sports if it's a boy), but we'll figure it out.

We will not find out what we are having. I am still deciding on wall colors and what I want to do with that. I am leaning more towards a green color though. I do want white furniture though. For bedding I am going to pick out two. One for girl and one for boy and buy both as my due date gets closer and once the baby is born return whichever one I don't need.

I thought I wanted dark wood furniture bc I love the way it looks but after ahving my whole living room be dark wood and dusting EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I may go with white.

If our first is a girl we would do PINK! ! ! I would also like to do wainscotting on the walls. With handpainting by my BFF's mom.

If our first is a boy I want to do a mural on one wall, and the room either blue or green.

Edit to add: white furniture and a big cozy glider for me!

for a girl i like a muted pink or lavendar, something light but not pastel based more of a muted tone...

for a boy i'm not sure - i think maybe something green or khaki - we'd probably go with an animal theme for a boy...

no matter what the sex of the baby i want to do a nice tree decal in the corner where my glider will go

and i think we'd go with dark furniture for either sex - like a mahogany or cherry wood

I honestly have no idea...the baby will go into the pre existing nursery from the previous owners. It has wainscotting, which we will keep, and bright green walls....not my thing. I know I def want to do a mural on one of the walls....what of?????no idea!!!!!! We plan to find out the sex but even if I know i'm having a boy, I dont think i will be ubber gender specific.

my 1st dd got brand new everything, we just finished her room (still have to hang pictures and wall stuff but for the most part its complete) we just moved here at the end of may.

her room is cream, with pink and green stripes. the next baby will go into our spare room which is white right now i like to do different have no idea what colors but we do have blonde wood furniture in there now which was mine as a teenager and in fabulous condition so the baby will get my furniture and we just will buy a crib to match.

I'm thinking one grey wall, and then if it is a girl, pink and grey and if it's a boy, grey, red and blue.

I painted our spare room green because I never knew when I'd be ready and I absolutely lovethe color so Im keeping it that way. We're in a co-op now and if we stay... Ill keep it green and add some things to the walls... My BR furniture is dark and although I love it, I cant stand having to see/clean the dust almost daily. So if it's a girl, I will def go with white furniture. If it's a boy, maybe maple wood.

Hope its time for all of us to do the nursery soon!!
