Re: those with Fllat screen TV's
My computer is on the fritz and I wanted to post a picture for you, but I can't get on the website. Anyway, DH and I were in Ikea and we saw a TV mounted on the wall with a storage/cabinet piece of furnture under it. It was narrow, so it didn't stick up too much, but it was taller than a normal table. It was on display. Check them out

we don't have this yet, but these are ones we like- from Room & Board, we're obsessed with this place, almost all our good furniture is from here and they have amazing quality at a reasonable price. they have a huge show room in soho if your ever in the area.

This is in my bedroom, so the TV is mounted a bit higher to work with the bed, but you get the idea.

We have all of our stuff in a cabinet, but we have remote access... so we could put the boxes, etc in our closet in the hallway.
They have some nice things at the PB outlet you could get...
they always have these at the outlet if you like this...

Re: those with Fllat screen TV's
We mounted ours above our fireplace so we bought a night table to go next to the fireplace that we put our bose system & cable box on. There are pics in my album under Downstairs if you are interested.

The picture is what I did in the Bedtoom, the walk-in closet was on the wall behind to tv so it was easy to mount the dvd player and Cabled Box in the wall.

Re: those with Fllat screen TV's
The Den was a little more work but an even better solution. The device hanging on the bottom of the tv is the IR receiver goto

Re: those with Fllat screen TV's*Update*
TJLealand3, nice set up in bedroom but very concern for proper airflow of your components in the wall....these devices need air to keep them cool..they could die or even overheat and start a fire which is no good...

Re: those with Fllat screen TV's*Update*
The wall goes into my walk-in closet, there are no clothes around the components and thanks to central air it stays nice and cool. Thank you for your concern. I will take a picture inside the closet later today.

Re: those with Fllat screen TV's*Update*
bluetooth range i think is 100-125 feet. I would test it out. through dry wall you won't have a problem...just the basement is what concerns me. it probally will but test it before you get into it...
are you running hdmi wire to the receiver or straight to the tv?
monoprice.com is a great place for wires and cheap ;)
