this drives me insane

Why is it that some people NEVER have anything nice to say??? Please believe me I'm not trying to start any drama (I HATE drama!!) but there's one person here on LIFamilies that always has something negative to say ALWAYS....not only negative but SNOTTY too!! She and I frequent the same boards and her attitude really sux. I've found LIFamilies to be such a source of information and support. I just dont understand why some people insist on not taking advantage of the perks of this website and instead insist on being the voice of doom and negativity. Vent over

I think that certain people will always be like that- in real life and on here. I have no clue who you are talking about- I just mean in general.

I find it at work, in my family, within my friends, here on the boards. Some people just are snarkier than others, some are just more negative, some have a wise-@ss personality, etc.

It's definitely annoying but I TRY to not let it bother me... it's just personalities.
Easier said than done sometimes I know...

I have to completely agree. I have actually spoken to a few friends that chat on this site, about this exact thing.

I don't let it bother me though. It stinks that they live like that, their a miserable person. Don't let it bring you down though, then they get what they wanted.


eta: Its everywhere though, not just on the boards. I have family that is like this too.

Yeah, I agree. Some people are just natural Debbie Downers. My FIL has become very negative lately about anything and everything. It's driving me and DH crazy. Why can't people just be happy they're alive?

Just skip over their replies. That's what I do And if I feel this way about someone in real life, I just let their comments go in one ear and out the other.
Don't let it get to you.

I feel the same way about someone on here and people in real life (hi mom)!

I point out the negativity to my mom every chance I get...and it's been good, she's starting to see some good in things.

The person on here is so negative and so bittchy that if I said anything, it would blow up to catastrophic proportions. I actually saw a couple one day and the wife was so mean to the husband that I was going to ask her if she was the person from LIF!

This site is representative of all the varied kind of personalities out there in real life - some are happy, positive and supportive, and some are not. It's just life...I choose to just ignore the negative replies, because it's not worth my time or effort, and certainly not worth it to bring my mood down to that level.

Eh, I don't let it get to me. Some people are just cranky, bitter, etc...whatev.

If I let all the negativity that I'm exposed to on a daily basis get to me, I'd be one cranky snot!

I feel a little sorry for people like that. I mean, can't you find the good things in your life? There has to be some...

I'll add also that some people seem to think that the curmudgeonly responses make them look intellectual. Unless you're Dorothy Parker, it's not working!

I must agree.

Do people think they are better than everyone else because they 1846562940 posts? Does it automatically entitle them to become biggest snot on the board?

There are cliques everywhere. I get that. But really, is it necessary on a website? Does it make them feel better when they treat people like cr@p?

I was personally thinking about becoming a vendor. Someone from CS called me to ask about it. I told them flatout that I was horrified by some of the behaviors on here. I told them it's not a very friendly place.

I continue to come here and read posts and offer advice when I can and that is it.
