Things I learned at the Van Halen Concert tonight...

1) Diamond Dave is in KILLER shape.

2) Eddie was wearing a wedding band on his right hand.

3) Alex has the best capped teeth I have ever seen.

4) Wolfie is either REALLY talented or Michael Anthony was never all that great so Wolfie didn't have that much to live up to.

5) That people are truly stuck in the 80s.

6) Mullets are NEVER going away.

7) Mini-skirts are not for everyone.

8) No smoking signs mean NOTHING.

9) Contact high - schmontact high - your pot just makes me stink thank you.

10) The guy in front of me isnt getting any tonight despite how drunk his girlfriend was.

All in all it was a decent show. Eddie can play like noone else.

Dave was in awesome shape and so was Eddie...and yes I did notice the teeth on Alex. Wolfie did a great job, didn't seem too enthusiastic though.

Oh how I agree with you on all counts.
I thought it was a great show but DH thought Dave seemed and sounded a bit too cabaret...with the singing, the jackets, hat, etc...

I really liked it though and enjoyed the ending especially!!!

Maybe you sat next to me. The people around me were smoking up all night...I was the one blowing and fanning their smoke back at them. Did you see me? I made it quite obvious I was not happy with their smoking shenanigans.

LOL

I was in the same section as her. They had a huge screen that all could see and they did a lot of up close shots.

For ex, when Eddie did his sitting down/laying down guitar solo, you could clearly see his top button on his pants was undone.

Goldie, didn't you love when Dave put the hat over his man parts and took his hands away? And the air kicks, gotta love those!

I think we were in the same section, 319 right? They were pretty bad with the weed and there was another guy with cigarettes. If it were outdoors in the summer, it wouldnt bother me so much. It just reminded me how much I really hate smoking and how people really dont give a crap about others.

I think Wolfie may havea been a lil nervous and realized, it wasn't really his show. They didnt show case him nearly as much as the other three.

Reminded me too of how much I hate smoking. Always did. I was literally trying to hold my breath for periods when they were blowing the smoke high up into the air (in addition to fanning and blowing it back at them).

Yeah, the people in front of me kept passing the weed. They were so annoying, playing with their iphones, talking, smoking, etc....I was so happy when they left.

The guy next to me was smoking a few times. He had a red shirt, so if the guy you are referring to had a red shirt, then you were literally sitting near me. You couldn't miss the guy, he was tall with a red shirt...

Brianne and I had a great time. We had people smoking up by us too. Where did everyone sit?

Section 319. There was no security or anyone there to seat people or tell them to put out their cigarettes or joints. We had to look for our seats ourselves. I know people light up at concerts but there is big difference between lighting up at an indoor versus outdoor show.

Re: Things I learned at the Van Halen Concert tonight...

Im really just trying to get a grasp of what people are thinking when they go to a concert. If both Eddie and Dave can cut their hair and change their look to reflect the times, why can't their fans?

Then

and now:

I actually walked up to a guy and said:
"Hey psycho! I am not going to feel better about this. ITS OVER! Now please get out of my Van Halen T-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up!"

Oh and I think Wolfie looks like his mother. I have to say that Eddie seemed really honored to play along side of his son. He pointed to a tattoo on his arm with his name on it. I cannot even imagine what it is like to play concerts at 15 with your father who is one of the best guitar players of all time. So cool.
