Sadly, peaceful protests go nowhere unless there are some violent protests (not saying that it's right).

And where do violent protests go?
Does do they get things done?
Genuinely curious.....

A lot of what was achieved in the 60s with regards to civil rights probably would not have been achieved with just MLK.

I'm not saying it's right. It's just the way things are. It's a historical pattern.

So your [sic] condoning violent protests?

What part of "I'm not saying it's right" says that I am condoning violence?

I simply stated that it's a pattern in history. Don't put words in my mouth.

Oh for crying out loud where did she say she's condoning violence? She said she doesn't believe it's right but it's a cycle that occurs in history. Violence isn't cool and it isn't right but we are where we are currently in this point in history because of violence. Not because of rainbows and hold hands across America singing kumbaya. We seem to be entering a new period of unrest which has been in the making for some time now but seems to be coming to a head. Time will tell the outcome.

Ugh why can't these people just stay home. Rioting is not protesting. They take away from all those protesting in peace.

Yep and you know the news will focus on the small amount of violent rioters versus the large amounts of peaceful protesters.

Exactly. And this is why people do it. Increased exposure and attention.

The rioting is absolutely uncalled for and solves nothing.
