"Thank you" tour
Trump will be starting his "thank you" tour in Cincinnati on Thursday.
This is the behavior that occurs in authoritarian governments, not a democracy.

Re: "Thank you" tour
Wtf is a thank you tour and why the fck are they letting him continue to just do and say whatever the hell he pleases and continue to desecrate his post? Why aren't they pulling the reigns? They've all lost their minds.
And honestly, shouldn't he be busier than he seems to be with the twitter and the thank you tours and all the hate crimes committed in his name?

Is that like a ticker tape parade when the Yankees win the World Series? Is that next?

I'm having flashbacks to the scary dancing children.
Does this mean he has time for security briefings now?

He was only in it for the rallies and public adoration. Hence, he needs to do more rallies.

So death wishes now are ok for the president elect when it was horrific when it was on a presidential candidate?

I hope people protest where ever his tour takes him. His ego has no boundaries. What on earth have we done? This country should feel real shame!

I heard somewhere that he needed to be talked out of doing this the weekend after Election Day.
Meanwhile, there are still so many things to do. Whoever commented about the security briefings nailed it. I hope there are massive protests.

Wouldn't it be wonderful thou if instead of protesting people used that time and energy to volunteer at a local shelter or boys and girls club? Just imagine how much could be accomplished. I'm not much for protesting. I rarely think it gets the point across that was intended to be delivered.

We have a vacation home in Martha's Vineyard where the Obama's vacation every summer. One summer all of the roads in town were blocked off because the Obamas were dining in town. I complained to whoever I was with that I couldn't wait for them to leave so we didn't have to deal with the traffic anymore. A woman turned around and legit scolded me saying that I should not be complaining about streets being blocked off for the President of the United States! Man, I wasn't even allowed to complain about the traffic. Imagine I said I wished someone would shoot him?

It's very sad how much disdain there is for protesting. How do people think women got the right to vote?
Protesting is just one form of social action. Nobody does it 24/7. I have no statistics, but I would be willing to bet that people who protest have a higher rate of volunteerism than people who do not. They're more likely to have causes that energize them enough to want to do something.
That's just anecdotal, though, based on my circle.

Duh! Because it's Trump! Anything that would have been considered inappropriate for any other president-elect is allowed because it's him. Apparently there's exceptions to every rule.

Well its a good thing that there are 365 days a year. You can protest 1 day and volunteer 364 days of the year. Trump should know that people are unhappy with him and don't trust him. HRC won the popular vote (which I know annoys Trump but its the truth) a majority of this country does not want him to the President. Luckily we live in America and still have this right to protest. We all better protest soon because Trump will want to jail people who protest like he wants to jail people who burn the flag.

It's about fighting for what you believe is right and against what is wrong. So many of the rights we have today is because of people who have protested.
So this tour is to thank the suckers in the states that he won. I guess when Trump said he wants to be a president for ALL he didn't really mean it. Shocker.

Are you seriously putting down civil disobedience and protest???! I can't believe what I'm reading! Without protest you wouldn't have the right to vote for your narcissistic moronic pig of a president elect (Oh didn't he actually advocate for repealing the 19th amendment so he could win win win if only men voted?). Martin Luther King Jr? Gandhi?? Hello?? Should we all just roll over as our rights are stripped? I swear to god, I feel like I'm in a facist twilight zone since Election Day.
And as someone who has been involved in protests, as a pp said, I would bet my life that we have higher rates of volunteerism than the general public.
