Teachers - check in!
How are we all doing?
It's hot and sticky as anything in my classroom. I'm on the second floor in an area that gets NO cross breeze and there's no A/C.
Walking up and down the stairs is becoming so tiresome.
My kids are grating on my last nerves - I am SO glad there's only 2 teaching days left.
Aside from that, I'm just peachy! 
How are you all doing?

I'm doing just fine! Today could have been my last day but I want to save my days so I'm sticking it out. I made it WAY easy on myself- just showing videos. Nice to be a specialist, eh? It also makes it easier on the sub to pick up where I left off if I have to make a sudden exit.
but I am sooooo bored...I don't know what's worse, being bored at work or at home? hmmm....I might prefer being bored at home!
2 teaching days left- That is awesome! You are almost there! I still have a week & a half! That's if I make it to the 'half'!

i do have AC in my room THANK GOD. But standing up all day is a chore

I teach from my desk these days  Thankfully this has been an easy June in terms of heat (remember last year!), but the humidity killed me today!
I have 2 more teaching days and my final next week. My 8th graders are basically done now, though.
I have to say I 'm glad I stuck it out because I like to keep busy. Just hoping it isn't so humid next week.

I have 9 days left! But I can't complain because my new building has central AC!
But...I start summer school on July 1st with no AC

one day of teaching then just proctoring and grading the Regents....we don't have AC, but the hardest part is over. I can make it!

props to you guys...i bowed out last week. i was just done. my sciatica was so bad and my legs were so swollen. i think if my back wasn't so bad i would have stuck it out. now, my back is better and i feel bad being out, but i figure since i can't use my sick days in september towards getting some FMLA paid, (because i would no longer be recovering) i figured i have the days, so SEE YA!. chasing after my severerly impaired kids was getting to be too much.

I'm only 12 1/2 weeks, so I'm OK. But I am soooo ready for it to be summer time!
