Re: taking down xmas decor?

I took everything down yesterday.. i couldn't stand it anymore. Once Christmas is over, I want my house back to normal.

Re: taking down xmas decor?

I wanted to take EVERYTHING down the day after...DH wouldn't let me.

We've had it out since the weekend after Thanksgiving. I want to be able to breathe again Chat Icon . I feel like everything is just all cluttered right now.

We have to move some furniture around to fit our tree in the spot its in. So everything just looked crammed into its spot right now. I can't stand it.

I usually leave it up until after Little Christmas but since New Year's Day is on a Friday after this year I'm thinking about doing it next weekend.

Same here.

I'm ready to take it all down now. DH said we'll pack it all away on New Year's Day.

Re: taking down xmas decor?

I will take it down by New Year's Eve. I like to begin the New Year fresh - with no Christmas decorations.

Normally I would leave everything up until after New Years (maybe even a little longer), but we're in the middle of construction, so I started taking everything down so as not to get drywall dust in or on it. Plus my in-laws have the kids, making it easier for to get it all done.

Re: taking down xmas decor?

we just moved into our house on the 19th and didnt put up any decorations. we really had no time

DS's bday is XMas eve and we were having 25 people over so we were so busy with unpacking and such

Kinda upset me since I LOVE decorating, but we have many more years to do so
