SUV owners, where do you have your car seat?
Now that my shower is over and we got our new SUV I want DH to install the car seat. So where do you girls have yours positioned, in the middle, to the right, to the left?

Ours is in the middle of the back seat and we use the LATCH system.

I have 2 on each side but when I had one - he was right behind the driver seat. I wanted him on the same side as me so I didn't have to walk around the car to get him.

In the middle with the latch system. We had heard that when you only have one car seat the middle is the safest for a crash. I don't know how true it is, but we went with it.

Depending on the SUV, the middle is not the correct choice. My main concern is those that said you were using LATCH in the middle. If that is the case, you all have the seats installed wrong.
There in only one model vehicle on the market that allows center LATCH.

This is incorrect. I have a PT Cruiser (which by some definitions is a truck/SUV), and the manufacturer definitely recommends using the LATCH in the center. (With two seats, you can't have one in the center and one on the side, they have to both be on the sides)

we have a Saturn Vue and according to the website, they too recommend the middle. We have ours in the middle
