Sunday QOTD
My last question is another one inspired by things I'm laughed at for saying to my coworkers!
Will you schedule your kids for a lot of activities or let them have lots of free time? What activities do you hope to involve them in?
I always laugh at my coworkers for their crazy busy schedules. I like my free time and hope to keep some once I have kids.  . The things I would like to see my LOs involved with would be maybe gymnastics or dance for  and something like little league for  . I get so nervous about anything where they could get hurt. I'd also love to teach them to play piano if I ever have a house big enough to fit my piano! Oh, and definitely boy scouts/girl scouts. DH is an eagle scout so I know he'll want to keep up that tradition!

I'd like them to have a balance and so would DH. We both agree we want to put them into soccer as soon as they are old enough because I want to make sure they stay active. My mom never pushed me to stay in sports and I wish she had at least make me stick out the season rather than let me quit. Other than that I'd let them pick an activity of their choosing.

I think it's really going to depend on the way he/she is. I want him/her to try lots of different activities, whether it's dance, baseball, music, art, etc. and then take it from there. Even if he/she isn't involved in lots of activities outside of the home, I hope that DH & I can be hands on enough to do things w/our LO inside and outside of the home, even if it's not part of an organized event. I'm probably not explaining myself very well here, but hopefully you get what I'm trying to say.

i will encourage them to try different sports or activities but won't force it on them. whatever they want to do is fine with me.

I would introduce them to different things and let them decide.
I wasnt into activities growing up but my sister & brother are.

I'll probably put them in a lot of things and let them decide how much or little they'd like to do. I definitely hope any DS's want to play football and DD's are into dance.

Hockey/Soccer, dance, musicals, whatever, so long as they don't get into trouble.
I so want a soccer mom sticker on my car. lol...

We would definitely start them in music lessons from an early age. Other than that, we would definitely want to encourage them to try all sorts of things that they might be interested in. It's the only way to find something to be passionate about
