Stop and Shop Gas Program
Has anyone used their points for gas?
I know Shell has cash and cc price so im curious if it allows you to select cash for the cheaper price.

I just checked the pamphlet they gave me the other day and it says you first swipe your stop and shop card and then select payment so it seems you can.

Wait.. so if I spend $100 at S&S i earn .10 cents off a gallon at a shell gas staion? Am I getting this right? How many times or how long does the 10 cents off stay for?

It's .10$ off with 100 points
.20$ off with 200 points
And .30$ off with 300 points
You earn a point for every dollar you spend
Points are valid for 30 days and can only be discounted up to 35 gallons of fuel per vehicle per purchase

This was my thought too! I passed a Shell station near me and noted the price.
Then, drove down to a Lukoil near me and it was the same! The Shell by me, I'm hoping stays "even" with the other stations around!

Yes i've done it. It's great! So easy, just shop at S&S and save money at the gas pump 
I wish the stores in FL would do this.

i live in MA and our stop & show has its own gas station (AND IT'S THE CHEAPEST GAS AROUND!!). I only shop at s&s for this reason, let my point build up and got gas for $2.79 last fill up!

Out west I saw some Costco gas stations that were significantly cheaper than Mobile, shell etc
Wonder why there are no Costco stations on LI

Is it new? I logged in to their website to see how many gas points I had and it said zero. I haven't shopped there in a couple of weeks, so I'm thinking it might be new...or new at my store's location, maybe?

The Shell by me is INSANE... it was $4.59 when everyone else was $4.15-$4.25

DH and I tried this the other weekend- you swipe your S&S card at the Shell station that is nearby (depends where you are) and then can pay either cash or credit.

Stop and Shop is more expensive than other stores. So is Shell.
I would not save anything in the end since I overpaid in the first place.
Nice idea! Just not the best deals. But if S&S is where you already shop and Shell is just by your house/work and the most convenient not to drive 5 miles to get cheaper gas, then yes, that's worth it.

It's new, I think they started this promotion on Friday. They are doing it at the S&S on Union Tpke, if that's your store.

I just looked up my points and have $0.20 off that expire on Sunday.
