I didn't like dolls.. but my mother used to buy them for me ALL the time.. I remember these SPECIFICALLY

Whoopsie - you squeezed her belly and her pigtails went up. I cut off both her piggies:

Baby Alive could eat and drink. I fed her real food instead of the stuff that came with her and she started to smell:

I also had a doll called Melody - you squeezed different parts of her body and it would play music. I left her in the rain.

I loved my Schwinn bike more than everything else.

I was just trying to remember what that doll was called!!

Does anyone remember these bottles that had pretend orange juice and milk in them ... and as you tilted it, the juice would disappear.

Kinda like these, but smaller and more "vintage" looking

this thread is the best ever. I am laughing and loving it.

Does anyone remember Adorable Dora?
It was a plastic pig that had a microphone. You sang into the mic and the pig kind of moved along with the singing.

I better google it......Chat Icon

Adorable Dora, I thought she was a hippo but she could have been a pig. You could use a mic (attached on a wire) to make her talk.

And I recall the commercial!!!

The kid was hiding in the closet, and someone was looking for the kid. And Adorable Dora would say:

"She's in the closet." I can still hear the way the girl would say that...I just tried to find it via youtube or yahoo, but I can't. But yes, I do remember how she would sway back and forth when you would make her speak.

I will never forget that!

Re: spinoff to old..lets make a blast from the past and post some of your childhood toys.

I can't think of the name of something... it looked like an oversized bicycle seat and it wad wheels and handles on the sides of the seat and you sat on it and had to wiggle your butt to get it to move. I think of the name of it. My cousin had one. But here are some others I remember.... Food Fighters and Charmkins...

ETA: Found some more...
Nerfuls and that snail with the key.

OK - if anyone can remember these, you get a prize

you'd buy them at the candy store, it it was a cardoard scene of some kind. It came with a page of decals. You'd press the decal against the scene and scribble a pen on the back of it, when you were done, you'd pull the sheet up, and the decal was on the scene

OMG!!! I had Whoopsie!!! I used to love her!!! Then I think my mom tried to sell her at a flea market and I didn't want anyone to buy her! How terrible!!!

You cut off her pigtails, hysterical! That makes me think of a doll I had.

External Image
Sun Lovin Malibu Skipper

I had her in the pool, and then I tried to dry her off. So I put her over the flame on the STOVE burner (where my parents were I have NO Idea) and of course put her too close and all her hair melted. So then I had to give her a crop cut (which I hated the way it came out). So I threw her out, b/c I also didn't like that she never fit into Barbie's clothes b/c she was smaller and could not fill out Barbie's clothes like Barbie did.Chat Icon

Looking back I had wayyy more toys than I thought I did...hmmm
