Spinoff to my story...did YOU drink at your prom?
More specifically in your limo?
I know we did. I didn't buy it, but one of the dates did I believe...my friend ended up trashed and throwing up during graduation the next day (lovely right?) I had a drink and that was it. I didn't care for it at the time.
Just curious...

we had a champagne toast at my house beforehand
the limo was strict and didnt supply liquor but we had flasks
and afterwards we had a party and drank some more
so yes, i did
and may i add
i was a very good kid who graduated with over a 98 average

I had half of a Zima when we got to the hotel room. Probably less. Then some stupid kid poured one of those little tiny airline bottles of rum down my dress, so I SMELLED like I drank a lot!!!
None of us drank in the limos.

OMG this is exactly what my mom just said over the phone earlier, lol...
She isn't justifying the drinking in the limo since they all signed a contract, she just can't get over kids being sent to Iraq to fight (such as my brother) but they can't legally buy a beer...

We didn't in the limo because the rules were to strict and we didn't want to get in trouble but we did have a few drinks later on after the prom.

We had champagne toasts at a friend's house and IN the limo.
While still illegal back then, drinking at 18 wasn't enforced very much. They changed the drinking age from 18 to 19 to 21 four years earlier

I was so trashed by the time we got to the prom that I kept calling my principal by her 1st name, til this day people yell out to me what I yelled ion my principal's face all night.."Come on Marylou, loosen up and dance with us", I tortured ehr all night, hence, I was UNinvited to the senior awards ceremoney where I would of received about 6 awards (for sports and dance). By the time we got out to Montauk I had to be carried But I had fun

No. I did not drink. Actually, I never drank in high school. I saved my under age drinking for college. After I turned 21, it wasn't as much fun anymore.

No, I didn't drink in high school at all. Still don't really. My grandfather died of cirrhosis when I was 8, my dad has been in rehab at least a dozen times, so I just can't enjoy alcohol at all. Scares the bejesus out of me to be honest.

Nope. And, we didn't go in a limo- we and another couple went in my BF's Explorer. We COULD have done ANYTHING we wanted, but we were 100% well behaved. And, that's the honest truth.

Just curious...
ummm...yeah! since we were both in the same limo, that was a night i'll never forget! she didn't only throw up at graduation, she also threw up all in my bed and my mom had to clean it because she couldn't go home drunk
and it wasn't the dates who bought it...it was the limo driver!
