Spinoff to BODIES The Exhibition
I know this is a rather disturbing question to some of you but this really is something to think about!!! If (HEAVEN FORBID) you passed on.. Would you be willing to donate any of your organs for people in need of a transfusion (or such) or for scientific research??

I designated my Heart to my bestfriend for a transplant she needed if something happened to me. Unfortunately she is no longer with us I was an exact match for her.
ETA They can have what ever they need from me when I'm gone!

Yes. The body is only a shell to shelter the soul. When i die, my body is of more use to those who have a chance to live, then it is in the ground.

so weird, I was just thinking about it this morning.
I need to renew my state id so I will be checking yes to give permission to donate my organs.
I would rather another human being to have them and possibly save their lives, then to give worms food.

Being in my profession.....I decided long ago I would limit what I will donate. I know what it looks like afterwards....my list of allowable donations is:
Heart
Liver
Lungs
Kidneys
any internal organs needed is OK
No eyes, skin or bones

I'm on the donor list...although I can't imagine being on display at the Bodies Exhibit.
Most of them are men anyway, so I don't really have to worry about that.

ABSOLUTELY. Living with a parent who desperately needs an organ transplant, and knowing that he probably won't get one in time, well, it's devastating, and knowing that donating my organs may save someone's life, and give his/her family the greatest gift of life, well, I can't think of any reason not to...
