I shop Costco and find that their every-day price is comparble to the sale price at the supermarket so if it's on sale and you have coupons, some items are a better deal elsewhere. I find paper towels and toilet paper difficult to compare because the "feet per roll" and other details are always different. It's cheaper at CVS for the paper towel bundle, but they are usually smaller rolls. The difference in price isn't usually worth the time it takes to drive all over or buy smaller lots. I just purchase at a good price when and where convenient.

I refuse to buy the following at BJ's bc they are just over priced

Paper towels
Toilet Paper
Water
Soda
Detergent
Salad dressings

I do though think they have great deals on
Fabric Softener
Paper cups
Paper plates
Ground Turkey
Carrots
String Beans
Cereal
Almonds
Crystal light
Mouthwash
Peanut Butter

Paperwork Towels
Toliet Paper
Detergent (this is the biggest overpriced item there)
Beer
Soda

detergent? really?
huh, I need to pay even better attention!

Really? I can't get laundry detergent cheaper anywhere near me. In fact, I just compared the prices this weekend. I paid $3 more for less detergent (on sale) in the grocery store than I did for a larger thing of detergent at Costco. (And I'm counting "smaller / larger" by number of loads...)

Tampons-??? Where can you get them cheaper as I have compared. I get a box of 88 with the Costo coupon for about $12. The box of 20 is $6 elsewhere.

Hmm I go to BJs so no Costco coupon. Sales at CVS with a coupon are usually better than BJs for me when it comes to tamps.

Chat Icon Hmm.. I disagree, the prices at BJs on soda are always more expensive than at grocery stores (on sale). There are always 4 for $10 sales on 12 packs which doesn't even come close to BJs. I think BJs averages about $3.25 a 12 pack, if I remember correctly.
