you are paying LONGER??
Mine is scheduled to be paid off in 2012. I called to see how i can get it paid sooner. All they were talking about was consolidating and saving interest. They never once mentioned if i would actually pay it off sooner!!

usually when you consolidate a loan its now for a longer period of time.

There usually is not a penalty if you decide to pay it off sooner for student loans.
