What's the difference in hands free and not hands free?
I guess my question is what's the main difference between the Medela Freestyle and PIS?
Can you walk around while you are pumping with a hands free one?

Re: Spinoff: Breastpumps
I have a hands free bra. I got it on eBay NEW and it is perfect for a Medela pump. It is like a back-hook halter top that you wear. Very comfy and easy to hook up quickly. The Medela branded thing is a big production. I would not rec'd it.
Personally, I could never walk around while pumping. That would have been uncomfortable for me. I pumped 5-8x per day for a year.

So then what is the point to the hands free bra? Would you even sit at your kitchen table sorting mail while pumping? I was considering getting one of these and was wondering if it really was possible to do something else while you are pumping. Also, I would think that would make me feel even MORE like Bessie The Cow than sitting on my bed for 20mins while I pumped. (I just remember a field trip from elementary school where we saw cows being milked and they just went about their business while the farmer was "pumping" them and that is what I'm envisioning)

I used the Medela PIS. I had the hands free bra and I used to pump during lunchtime in my classroom. I would eat my lunch and do some work while pumping. Talk about multi-tasking.

Does anyone have pictures of the hands-free bras? I am curious about those.

Re: Spinoff: Breastpumps
I just want to say I pumped for a year & the hand free halter bra was a lifesaver. I'd set myself up by my computer & be pumping & I'd be finished b4 I knew it.
You can also read or watch TV or do whatever...the hands free bra is a MUST.
I don't have a pic at work, do a search on here for hands free bra & there's a few threads w/ pics.

I think it would be useful if you're working and need to get stuff done while pumping. It will make it easier to multitask. Right now, I don't have one and it's a PITA to try to hold the shields with one hand and flip through stuff I have to read with the other hand. I'm definitely going to buy a hands free bra soon.
