Spin off to favorite smell.....
....what is a smell you can't stand or tolerate?
I mean other than the obvious (rotting garbage, smelly bathrooms, flatulence,  )
I have 2:
This nasty provolone cheese my DH buys at Meat Farms. I swear even thought it's wrapped in cellophane it stinks up the WHOLE fridge. One time I started tearing my fridge apart because I thought something had gone bad....turns out it was the cheese. Every night he comes into the living room with a chunk of it as a snack and before I see it, I am like- OMG did the cat puke? It smells exactly like vomit or an animal carcass rotting behind the walls to me. I have literally gagged on occassions from the stench of it. How he eats that shit is beyond me!
My second is campfires. I like the smell for about 5 seconds and then it starts to give me a headache. I hate how it gets in my clothes and hair and I stink all night after it. This is why I got a gas burning fire table for my yard. Sometimes my neighbors will use a wood burning one and my AC vents will suck the stench right into my house and it's awful. We had to get rid of our fireplace too because the house would reek for a WEEK after burning a wood fire and I'd be sick for days.

I know I'm in the minority here - I cannot stand the smell of bacon. Ugh - it turns my stomach.
The other - any kind of lily. Instant headache.

I get wicked headaches from the artificial smells.
Lamb.
I cook it for DH but I can't stand the smell of it.

Strong perfumes.
Nasty chicken bone smell.
Tripe cooking will make a house need quarantine.
Broccoli, cauliflower cooking stinks (taste good though).
I can't stand the strong chemical smells of cleaning products. Like Mr. Clean or Febreze.

I agree with you on the parm cheese (and all stinky cheeses as mentioned in my post above! )
But now I am intrigued about this restaurant. I want to go just to see what it smells like- but I am assuming it's cheese?

It's funny with 7-11. I used to never mind it but when I was pregnant I would go there a lot during work for snacks, water, tea, whatever. And though I had no morning sickness I had some really bad smell aversions and a police dog like sense of smell.
The smell in there would always turn me off when I was pregnant.
And now, 7 years later, it STILL turns me off.
it's like it stayed with me all this time.
So strange

I don't like the smell of vanilla candles, vanilla body lotions, etc. People must love them, because they are popular.
I do like "natural vanilla" smells, like if someone is baking a cake or cookies.
I also don't like new car smell. It can be so overpowering.
Hazelnut coffee - - I love coffee, and I enjoy the smell of fresh brewed coffee. But something about hazelnut coffee is very off-putting.

A few things that have already been mentioned -
Air freshener of any type - spray,plug ins, the ones for your car - makes my throat feel like it's closing up. Doesn't matter the scent, but I really hate the smell of vanilla or the "birthday cake," "Christmas cookie" scents
Subway sandwich shops - there is a smell that is not necessarily the food, but some kind of "chemical" smell that I can't stand

I think it's the "bread". They bake it there.
I put bread in quotes because I have read some things that state their bread is full of chemicals or something.

Totally agree with the artificial vanilla, not much of a fan of any artificial - but that is the worst. (I LOVE with the real thing too!)
And Lysol ! My husband bought a 3 pack at BJs and I threw them out. You always still smell whatever you were trying to cover up plus a yucky chemical smell,
