Obama, and I'm not sure if it's going to be close. Part of me is saying there is going to be a surge of voters who haven't voiced their opinion one way or the other.

I really feel Obama's gonna take it in a landslide--but I'm most wanting to see what happens here in NC. We're in a VERY, VERY tight race and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we go blue this year!

you're right about that, too. It could be me a little more one-sided. But, I think because we live in NY, where Obama basically already has the state, sometimes we take the local coverage to be similar to the national feeling. Not having access to the politicial temperature in the other 49 states, leads me to believe that this may be close.

Re: So....regardless of who you voted for...
I would love to say McCain, but have a feeling it will be Obama.
I don't think it will be a landslide either. A lot of the undecided's nationwide seem to be going towards McCain more, so I think it will be a tight race until the end.

Re: So....regardless of who you voted for...
you also have to remember, there are alot of dumb reasons people will find not to vote for Obama
The fact that he's African-American Muslim ties His name rhymes with Osama Connections to terrorists and anti-Americans
Whether or not the above are factual, some people are stupid and won't check their facts and base their vote on purely stupid reasons.
It will be interesting to see how big a factor that element plays into this

I know for a fact people that still remember him wearing that robe for a ceremony he was in (don't remember all the details, but it was in the paper) and still swear he is Muslim. Some people just think about Palin on Katie Couric. They don't see outside the box.

We'll never know the extent of peoples racism. I was shocked when a relative voiced his opinion yesterday, I was literally speechless. Another one that doesn't see outside the box.

Nothing would surprise me in this election.
What I will say is the next President is being handed one huge mess to clean up.

My thoughts exactly!
I do think however that this won't be a landslide win for Obama should he win. I think this is going to be very close.

The fact that he's African-American
I think this is a major reason many people ARE voting for him as well.

We are one of the big swing states this year. The candidates were showing us some major love last week.

After the 2000 election, I'll be honest it could be either.
I'm hoping Obama, but I know it's going to be very close.

Re: So....regardless of who you voted for...
In my heart, obviously, I want Obama to win. But I have a pit in my stomach because I am not 100% convinced...More like 99%...I am so scared he will lose. I am so afraid yet nervous and excited and hopeful. My emotions are all over the place.
ITA that whomever is elected has one big mess to clean up. I just hope that America prevails and moves foward from this, no matter who wins!

Re: So....regardless of who you voted for...
Unfortunately, I think Obama will win. It will be a 3rd disappointing election for me. I thought Gore and Kerry losing was rough - this will top them all for me. I am beginning to think I am bad luck for whomever I vote!
