Sooooooooo excited!!!!! Maddie will be here on Wednesday!
She still needs to be spayed so we coudn't bring her home  but we should have her early this coming week!!!
Now we need a name (Hershey, Bailey and Max are all out obviously). She was listed on Petfinder as Coco and the person who has been fostering her for the past three days was calling her Maddie.
Her story from Petfinder
Coco is a 14 wk old, female, purebreed Chocolate Lab. She was purchased from a pet store and the same night they took her home, the father had a severe allergic reaction and they had to give her up. She is just a doll! Come meet Coco at Petco in Selden this Sat 7/12 from 11-3pm.
She was rescued from the Town of Hempstead shelter byAlmost Home

She's gorgeous! And very lucky to be going home to some wonderful parents! I really like Coco, but spelled Cocoa!

Another pet store horror story of dogs being given up. I am glad you can come to her rescue and thank God for this organization!

Just found out she won't be getting spayed until tomorrow  and will be staying at the vet overnight Tuesday so the soonest we'll have her is Wednesday!
I WANT HER NOW!!!! (so I can at least take tons more cute pictures!  )

Latest update ... they will most likely bring her on Wednesday, directly from her overnight at the vet getting spayed, vaccinated and microchipped!!!
We are soooooo excited. I'm just bummed I'll be in the city all day on Wednesday but happily I'll be working from home on Thursday.
I think we are pretty set on Maddie (again, unless she does something that makes us say "SOME OTHER NAME") ... sorta even a little tribute to our old chocolate Max.
DH is insane and is now on the hunt to get us back to three dogs!
