Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
Just checking in to see how you all are and how DCs are. I have a few questions as well:
1. How long is your DC sleeping at night? Does he/she have a "bedtime" and if so, what is it?
2. Are you bottle or breast feeding and how oftem does DC eat?
3. How oftem does DC nap and how long?
4. Have you transferred DC to the crib yet? How did it go? How was it on YOU?
5. Do you have a "schedule" or is your day pretty much based on DCs routine?

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
my DD is 6 months old.. but i am anal so i kept track of everything...
1. How long is your DC sleeping at night? Does he/she have a "bedtime" and if so, what is it?
she went to bed at 10 pm and usually woke at 7am
2. Are you bottle or breast feeding and how oftem does DC eat?
we bottle feed DD and she was eating between 5-6oz 5-6x a day
3. How oftem does DC nap and how long?
my DD was NEVER a napper so i cant help you out here. she would maybe nap 3 x 45 min a day
4. Have you transferred DC to the crib yet? How did it go? How was it on YOU?
we transferred DD at 3 months to the crib
5. Do you have a "schedule" or is your day pretty much based on DCs routine
she basically put herself into this schedule, but with no naps or 30 min power naps we just winged it during the day

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
1. How long is your DC sleeping at night? Does he/she have a "bedtime" and if so, what is it? They get their last bottle between 9-9:30 and the last 3 nights have slept til about 6-6:30!
2. Are you bottle or breast feeding and how oftem does DC eat? Bottle....they eat 5-6 ounces every 4 hours
3. How oftem does DC nap and how long? Nap about 2 hours between each bottle - pretty much go to sleep about an hour after the bottle, sleep 2 hours, wake up for an hour or so and then eat again
4. Have you transferred DC to the crib yet? How did it go? How was it on YOU? Not yet....we are moving in a few weeks. Will do it then. When I moved DS he did fine, it was way harder on me!
5. Do you have a "schedule" or is your day pretty much based on DCs routine? I keep them pretty scheduled for feedings...every 4 hours like it or not but naps and everything else is kind of a free for all. We don't go out much with 3 kids under 3, but I do keep their feedings on a schedule and always have. Doesn't work for everyone but has always worked for us!

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
DD is 10 weeks
1. How long is your DC sleeping at night? Does he/she have a "bedtime" and if so, what is it? She has her last bottle around 7/7:30 and then I read a book and it's bedtime. She goes at least to 3:30 - this morning it was 5.
2. Are you bottle or breast feeding and how oftem does DC eat? Bottle - 6 oz every 4 to 4 1/2 hours during the day.
3. How oftem does DC nap and how long? After her bottle she's up playing for about an hour and then usually naps for 1 - 1 1/2 hours if she's lucky. Older DD is very loud and tends to wake her up often. If we're out though in the car or shopping she'll sleep forever.
4. Have you transferred DC to the crib yet? How did it go? How was it on YOU? Yes. Very easy transition. I noticed if I had the TV on in my bedroom she would just watch it in her cradle so that's why I moved her.
5. Do you have a "schedule" or is your day pretty much based on DCs routine? Feedings are routine but everything else we go with the flow between the two kids.

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
DC will be 2 months next week :)
1. He sleeps 5-6 hour stretches now. He goes to bed around 10-11. Depends on when he completely goes down.
2. BF from the 7/8 am feeding through the 8/9 cluster feeding. The 'bedtime' feeding we give him a bottle. I pump after that feeding.
3. He has two long naps 2-3.5 hours and cat naps from 15-45 minutes. Sometimes they go up to an hour but no longer.
4. Will transfer to crib once he reaches max weight of bassinet. I already know it will be difficult for me.
5. I work around DSs schedule. While I BF I'm on the internet, doing paperwork. Since he is up more now I'll put him in the swing, bouncer, activity gym while I fold clothes, do dishes etc... When he takes his afternoon nap, I'll either have him nap on me or we will nap on my bed or he will go into the bassinet. Depends on how DS wants to nap. This is what ideally I want to happen but most days it doesn't work that way.
One thing I can say is having a baby definitely keeps me on my toes. I never know what I'll be doing next!

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
1. She sleeps from 9pm-530am. I try to go in and feed her around 4ish, but sometimes I sleep past my alarm and she starts rattling around in her crib at 5:30. I feed her and she goes back down until 730am.
Her bedtime is around 9pm. Her last feed starts at 8pm and sometimes she'll go down earlier like 830pm.
2. DD is BF but we will give her formula when we are out. We also give her a warm bottle as her last feed of the day before she goes down. She eats every 3-4 hours.
3. Her naps vary - sometimes they are 30 mins and others she can sleep for 2 hours. She naps about 3-4 times a day.
4. DD has been in the crib since birth. We tried the pack-n-play the first night in our room. We couldn't do it so we moved her to her room (down the hall). She did great and loves it.
5. I think we have more of a routine than anything and it adjusts to her needs. I just try to keep the evening and morning routine consistent.
We start out around 730-8 Feed Play -sometimes 30mins, sometimes 1 + hour Nap -sometimes 30mins, sometimes 1+ hour
We repeat the same pattern with lots flexibility. Sometimes she wants to nap after her morning feed so I adjust.
Nightime - around 8pm diaper/pjs; warm bottle and bed. I'm starting to throw in bath every 2 days or so and am trying to figure out when to fit in story time. (We read during the day!)

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
DC are 8 weeks today. I am so jealous of you ladies that get such long stretches of sleep at night
We put them in the bassinet swaddled after the 7-8pm feeding. They never sleep longer than 3 hours or so.
During the day they eat about every 3-3.5 hours. At night, every 3.5-4 hours. So like last night was 7pm, 11pm, 3am, 6am. They are FF. DS1 takes 3.5-4 oz, DS2 5.5-6oz (he is the smaller one!)
DS2 is a fabulous napper and naps throughout the day pretty much whenever he's not eating. DS1 not so much . I can maybe get 45 min-1 hour out of him tops and that's rocking him to sleep and usually another rocking session mid-nap .
We still have them in the bassinet in our den (not enough room in our bedroom for the monster twin PNP). I need to transition them soon but the nursery is upstairs and our bedroom is on the first floor so that's an issue. Hopefully in the next two weeks or so I'll move them up there and sleep in the guest room upstairs until they are sleeping longer stretches. I will be fine with it as I am looking forward to finally sleeping in a bed again after being on the couch for two months.
No schedule. I feed on demand (but sometimes have to wake the other to feed) and pretty much what they want goes for now.

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
My DS is 3 months old.
1. DS gets his bath around 7 and bottle at 7:30 and then in bed by 8. He'll sleep until 6am.
2. FF
3. He takes 3 naps during the day. 2 of them are a half hour each and one is 1-2 hours.
4. he went right into the crib day 1
5. DS follows a 3 hour schedule. change, eat, play, nap, change, eat, play, nap, etc.

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
DD is 7.5 weeks old.
1. How long is your DC sleeping at night? Does he/she have a "bedtime" and if so, what is it?
Anywhere between 3 and 6 hours. The past few nights we put her down between 8:30 - 9:30 pm and she has slept until 230/3am. But then she is up again at 5/530am and 8am.
2. Are you bottle or breast feeding and how oftem does DC eat?
Bottle. 35 ounces per day - 7 bottles. Every 2.5 - 3.5 hours.
3. How oftem does DC nap and how long?
Varies. Some days she takes 2 long 2 hour naps. Some days she takes 3 short 30 minute naps.
4. Have you transferred DC to the crib yet? How did it go? How was it on YOU?
DD hates the bassinet so she slept in the swing or moses basket the first few weeks and honestly I should have transferred her to the crib sooner because it's way more comfortable. She's been in the crib for almost a week and we swaddle her and that is when she started sleeping longer. It was great for me because I went from having to sleep on the couch next to her, to now being back in my own bed.
5. Do you have a "schedule" or is your day pretty much based on DCs routine?
I would LOVE a schedule but I've had to go with her flow.

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
I am soooo jealous of the moms whose babies STTN!
1. How long is your DC sleeping at night? Does he/she have a "bedtime" and if so, what is it?
She sleeps for one 5 hour stretch usually from 9 PM to 2 AM. So I am still sleep deprived.
2. Are you bottle or breast feeding and how oftem does DC eat?
EBF. Every 3 hours or so.
3. How oftem does DC nap and how long?
It varies. Sometimes she barely naps (like 30 minutes for the whole day) and sometimes she gives me 2 hour naps three times a day.
4. Have you transferred DC to the crib yet? How did it go? How was it on YOU?
NO. I still co-sleep and love it.
5. Do you have a "schedule" or is your day pretty much based on DCs routine?
Basically I go with the flow.

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
DS will be 2 months next Monday.
1. How long is your DC sleeping at night? Does he/she have a "bedtime" and if so, what is it? He has his last feeding at 11pm and he wakes up at 5am. We are going to start putting him to bed after his 8pm feeding starting tonight, because he has been really grumpy after 8pm lately and we think its because he was tired.
2. Are you bottle or breast feeding and how oftem does DC eat?
Bottle feeding. DS gets 5 oz every 3-4 hours for 30 ounces a day.
3. How oftem does DC nap and how long? We don't have a set nap schedule. He takes a long nap mid-morning and another one in the afternoon.
4. Have you transferred DC to the crib yet? How did it go? How was it on YOU? We had him in the crib on day 2 of being home. Our room is right across the hall and his crib is right next to the door.
5. Do you have a "schedule" or is your day pretty much based on DCs routine? We go by his routine, but basically goes like this. (I go back to work Monday, so things will probably change).
5am: DH feeds, puts back in crib 7am-8am: DS is usually fussing in crib by this point, if DH is still him, he will spend time with him, if not I go in and get him and bring him downstairs. 9am: I feed him 9:30am: We play on the playmat, or with his toys for about a half-hour 10:00am-11:30am: quiet time or nap time 12pm: I feed him 12:30pm-1:30pm: playtime 1:30pm-3:30pm: naptime 4pm: I feed him 4:30pm-6pm: Playtime, and watching me cook dinner while sitting in his high chair 6:30pm: DH comes home, and we eat dinner 7pm-8pm: Quiet time or playtime with daddy or bath time 8pm: DH feeds him 8:30pm: Bedtime 11pm: Last feeding

Re: Some questions for moms of babies around 2 mons
DS will be 12 weeks this Friday.
1. How long is your DC sleeping at night? Does he/she have a "bedtime" and if so, what is it?
from weeks 7-11 he slept between 7-9 hours. For the past 3 nights he has slept 10.5 hours. I feed him around 9:30 pm.
2. Are you bottle or breast feeding and how oftem does DC eat?
DS is bottle fed breast milk (I exclusively pump) He was eating 5 oz every 4 hours, but he's been wanting more lately so now he usually takes 6 oz.
3. How oftem does DC nap and how long?
Naps are kind of scattered. no real pattern or length. Sometimes 20 or 30 minutes and other naps are 1-2 hours. He does seem to almost everyday take a long nap in the late afternoon though.
4. Have you transferred DC to the crib yet? How did it go? How was it on YOU?
Ok, transferring DS to the crib was the best thing we did! Last night was his 3rd night in his crib and it went great. His first night in the crib he dropped his 5 am feeding and slept for 10.5 hours. DH and I were shocked! We didn't plan on putting him in his crib for another few weeks, but 3 nights ago, I told DH that I wanted to try it and we went for it, expecting it to be a total disaster! We were anxious and kept checking the monitor all night, but he def slept better because it was nice and quiet in his room. DH is a noisy sleeper. I also think that the bassinet was just not comfortable for him anymore. The mattress was lumpy and he was getting too long for it.
5. Do you have a "schedule" or is your day pretty much based on DCs routine?
We feed DS every 4 hours and put him to bed around the same time but nothing else is really scheduled.
